An excellent fusion of Alpine scenery, Mediterranean climate & perfect biking roads!

This fantastic eleven-day-long journey includes comfortable hotels with safe parking, visits to famous tourist attractions, meandering biking transit routes, exhilarating mountain passes and relaxing days off the bike.

We’ll start this fantastic tour by immersing ourselves in stunning Alpine views, the Mediterranean climate, glorious Italian food, and the typical Italian hustle and bustle of the Italian Riviera in Lake Garda.

From Lake Garda, we’ll be moving on to the “Monte Carlo of Switzerland”, the beautiful city of Lugano. We’ll also continue indulging in this compelling mix of Mediterranean and Alpine culture, Italian food and wine, but this time with a Swiss accent.

Simplon Pass, several wiggly little mountain roads and a brief ride along the tranquil shores of Lago Maggiore will bring us to the glistening azure waters of Lake Geneve and the Rock & Roll town of Montreux.

We’ll bring this memorable Italian and Swiss Lakes guided motorcycle tour to its conclusion with a glass or two of bubbly in the Champagne region. It is a perfect place to say our farewells before returning to the UK.

The warmer weather is coming, so it's time to pull the bikes out and prepare them for touring.

However, this winter, it looks like the bikes did not like sitting in the garage for six months, and on both bikes, the thermal idle wax valves got stuck. So the engines were revving very high and quickly overheating.

The strange thing was that in the whole of Oxfordshire and surrounding areas, it was impossible to find a mechanic who would take the job of fixing them. All the bike shops seem to be doing only servicing, MOTs and tyres. The big dealerships would not even talk to you unless it's an easy job or tried to sell you lots of BS. And small independent dealerships were honest, but all said they did not have enough qualified mechanics and could not cope with the volume of work. It makes you wonder about the state of the motorcycling industry.

So there was no other choice but to pull our sleeves up, Google it, YueTube it, get the toll box out and get on with it. And after two days of sweat, tiers, listening to the best of 80s on loop many times over and plenty of bad bilingual language - job done, both bikes fixed and ready for the touring season 👍😃💪🏍.
