Rounding off the week with a 7" Vanilla decorated with a super cute 'Old MacDonald's Farm' theme for a 3rd birthday party. The details & colour scheme were matched to the party invitations (although admittedly the invitations didn't include Rice Krispie Treat hay bales...) 🤣 x

A 6" Chocolate cake with a Portugal FC theme for a 7th birthday party. Harris did request Ronaldo but as my people sculpting skills are very basic, it was more a case of giving him a footballer wearing the Portugal kit ~ but if you squint your eyes & tilt your head a bit, I reckon from a distance it could pass as a very young Ronaldo.... 🤣🤣🤣

I've had a flurry of 'Classic Cupcake' requests lately ~ no fondant decorations on these babies, just a fluffy sponge base topped with a rose swirl of silky Swiss Meringue buttercream and finished with sprinkles. What's not to like? Latest box to leave my kitchen ~ a mixed box of Lemon and Raspberry & Vanilla x

A 2 x tier cake for a fabulous wedding celebration ~ clean lines, muted tones, trimmed with ribbon and simply decorated with a spray of artificial thistles to match the ones in the floral displays. Top tier was Vanilla cake filled with a fresh raspberry buttercream and a sprinkling of white chocolate curls, bottom tier was Vanilla cake filled with Madagascan Vanilla buttercream and jam.
And the best bit ~ I got to make this for my friend of 35 years and watch him marry his beautiful soulmate 😍

A spot of fun for Friday ~ a 'Dog Olympics' themed cake. With all the amazing Olympic sport going on this summer it seemed only fitting to design a doggy-version! This 6" Vanilla cake was gifted to the Walsham Obedience Club's annual 'Summer Funday'.

My second 21st birthday order was an unusual request & a first for me. Comprising of 24 x Chocolate, Lemon, Red Velvet and Cookies & Cream cupcakes, each one was decorated with a fondant wheelie bin! Not such a strange request though when you discover that the birthday girl is a sales exec for a wheelie bin company ~ the perfect decoration I think 😉

Yay, I'm back up and running (with a lovely new sparkly & bigger kitchen!) It has been a lot of hard work, lots of dust & rubble, long hours and exhausting days but I'm over the moon with the final result 😍 We now have a beautiful, light & airy space to enjoy & for me to work in.
First order out, a 6" Chocolate cake for a 3rd birthday. Please don't credit me for making the magnificent T-Rex ~ he was a keepsake model (and a really fab way to decorate a cake, because once all the cake is gone, your child has a toy to continue playing with!)
Accompanied by matching Chocolate cupcakes decorated with sprinkles and a fondant ‘3' x

It's been a bit busy here the last few days with trades busy fitting, wiring & plumbing so to make up for 2 days of radio silence from me, I have some extra piccies today 😍
So my are all 80's themed (which in my opinion was the best decade.... 😉) From Danger Mouse to the Rubik's Cube, mixed tapes to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Simpsons to ET and Ghostbusters ~ here's my 80's collection for you x

is a cupcake tower from 2022. Over the last 14 years I have made dozens of cupcake towers and not just for weddings! Cupcake towers are a fantastic way to serve the perfect portion of cake for a party or event, they lend themselves perfectly to whatever the occasion and can be designed around a certain colour scheme, can showcase brand logos, different designs & decorations and can be as simple or elaborate as you want!😍
The other bonus of cupcakes is that if you want to offer your guests an assortment of flavours you can and in the case of this wedding tower, each design corresponded with a different flavour.
And lastly, a cupcake tower definitely creates a 'wow-factor' in a room ~ tiers of beautifully decorated and delicious cupcakes reaching skywards for everyone to admire and enjoy.
So I suppose the point of my is, if you are getting married or organising a party or event, have you ever considered having a cupcake tower? x

Today's is quite a recent cake made last year. The reason it's one of my favourites is the colour scheme ~ I just love this combination of bright orange, navy, white and gold. This 'bubble cascade' (well that's my name for them!) style is still proving super popular & I can understand why ~ this design can be adapted to any colour scheme, kept as the main design or in addition to another decoration. From powder pink schemes to dramatic black and gold designs, this style is perfect for transforming your cake into a centre piece x

My is from 2019 and is one of my favourite cupcake requests ~ Beauty and the Beast.
These toppers were totally hand made and took quite a while ~ the details were so intricate and fiddly, but I was thrilled with the end result.
There's no denying that handmade toppers like this do cost more, primarily you're paying for my time in addition to all the other expenses & overheads involved but I always offer the option of edible print toppers which are a much cheaper alternative.
Whether you choose handmade fondant decorated toppers or edible print toppers to adorn your cupcakes, the choice is totally yours!

Today's is from 2022 ~ now as you know, I leave carved / 3D cakes to those who specialise in this field & keep well away from them but I made an exception on this occasion as the Hendrick's bottle shape is literally cake-shaped to start with! No carving was required so I was in my happy place creating this popular gin from a 6" cake covered in fondant. To give the cake a nice uniform finish, I airbrushed it black (rather than using black fondant) ~ it gave a much better finish and white fondant airbrushed black definitely tastes a whole lot better than black-coloured fondant! x

are all about The Script. In 2020 I was asked by Script superfan Izzie, to make her a birthday cake featuring the band that she could share with them at their next concert. Izzie was really pleased with the cake & after she left I didn't think anything of it ~ a few days later I received this photo of her, the band & the cake!!! Apparently, it went down very well (those guys clearly have good taste...)😉 x

is from 2021 and is the only Peaky Blinders request I've ever received & so to date, the only Peaky Blinders cake I've ever made! Every detail about this cake was just great fun to create, from the brick paved effect board to the ash from the ci******es, the gold pocket watch to the Tommy Shelby bank notes ~ definitely one I loved making & remember well 😉 x
