Hello everyone, just a quick note to let you all know that we are closing on Sundays from 7th July onwards. That’s why Sophy is smiling! Sorry about this. The problem is that we couldn’t find anyone to work on Sundays. Except us. And we don’t want to do it, as we work the rest of the week too. Anyway, big thanks to everyone who’s been supporting us on Sundays. We really hope you’ll be able to carry on by shopping with us on other days. We’re still open from Monday to Saturday, 10.00am to 6.00pm.

So the new place MUST be doing something right. Mike and Thidar's little sit-down/takeaway Tasty House is now just ONE WEEK OLD! Come and see us for a bite to eat and/or a drink any time between 11am and 4pm Monday to Saturday on Row H - just opposite The Orient Express. Genuine and delicious Asian food, great friendly service and a constantly changing menu almost everything is just £4.95 and made with fresh ingredients!!! Yum yum!!!

Fresh Thai veg and spices in yesterday, sweet basil, holy basil, egg plant, galangal, turmeric, cha om, bird eye chillies, lemon grass and much more. Other fruit and veg coming on Friday morning this week.

Just a quick one to let you know that we are back from our holiday after 3 weeks. A big THANK YOU!!! to Thidar, Emma and Bugzy for looking after the shop while we were away. We couldn't have gone away without your help so again, thank you so much.

And now that we're back it's VEGETABLE TIME again! We haven't had vegetables like plantains, Chinese bitter melon, Indian Karella, baby aubergines, chow chow, long chillies etc since we went away because Mike has to go down to London for them. The GOOD NEWS is that this is all coming back tomorrow. So if you're desperate for a vegetable, tomorrow is the time to come in, late morning onwards, because they'll be all over the place!! Yum yum!

Back again aftera year and 5 months. Wow! I am completely ON FIRE! Just let us know if you think we're bothering you too much with spammy j***y notifications. And I'll write back to you some time in the next hundred years. Anyway, just wanted to let you all know that we have a NEW SUNDAY SHOPKEEPER. He's bright, he's helpful and he knows some stuff about Asian food. If you want to find out who he is you'll have to come to the shop on Sunday. Best thing is, you probably won't see Mike!!

Eat our vegetables! Fruit and veg comes in every Friday - Karella, Okra, Mooli, Chinese Leaf, Pak Choi, Plantain, Sweet Potato, Eddoes, Green Chillies, Chow Chow, Aubergine, Avocados, Coriander, Kai Coi, Mint, Dill, Choy Sum, Kai Lan, Kow Choi, Spring Onions, Oyster Mushrooms, Enoki Mushrooms etc etc. Come and have a look.

And don't forget that the Thai stuff comes in on Wednesdays - Sweet Basil, Holy Basil, Egg Plant, Lemon Grass, Pandan Leaves, Acacia Leaves, Bird Eye Chillies, Thai Parsley, etc etc - the list goes on and on!

Did you know that we stock Indian pickles, chutneys, dals and spices? We have all sorts, from lime and chilli pickles to mango chutneys (lots of different flavours), we have tor dal, chana dal, urid dal and lentils in all their multifaceted glory - brown, green, red and yellow. And of course we have stuff like garam masala, kalonji (onion seeds), whole black pepper, fennel seeds, coriander powder, cumin, etc etc. The list goes on and on. And even on. So if you were looking for an alternative to your massively enormous profit loving national supermarket chain look no further than us! We are small but very potent and spicy!

Hello everyone, nothing's happening at the moment. That's wjhy we haven't written anything. Just thought we'd write to confirm that this is still the case and that our lives continue to be a bit samey and dull. The shop's open again tomorrow though from 11 until 4, and if anyone is interested we moved the curry paste a bit to the left. Go and check it out if you don't believe me...

Mike has been putting up more shelves in the new shop, Orient Express 2, as we're intending to get even more food products in. We're not sure what they're going to be yet, but whatever they are they'll be now and happenin' and excitin' and most groovy. We also have a total of 10 freezers, all full of the yummiest frozen Asian food you can imagine. Next it's vegetable time, and we're not talking about what happens when Mike starts daydreaming. Although he does often dream about vegetables, strangely.
