About us...

Welcome to Stanford Skiing - a family company run by John & Kathryn Kinnear and their daughters Elizabeth and Caroline, established in Megeve for over 25 years. John & Kathryn are based in Megeve in the Winter to ski with guests and, together with Rory our resort manager and his excellent team of resort staff, will ensure that you have a fantastic time whilst in our care.

Debbie, Rachel & Sarah work with Elizabeth in the U.K office to ensure that the administration runs smoothly and Caroline looks after the accounts. All of us are happy to share our knowledge and experience as we are lucky enough to visit Megeve at least once each season, so we’ve visited many times!

The village is traditional, picturesque and friendly. Although Megeve has a reputation as the most chic ski resort in France, you can stay with Stanford Skiing at our catered chalet hotels and experience Megeve at very reasonable prices. Our guests enjoy great meals, low bar prices and there are no extras for wine, tea, coffee etc. All our ski accommodation is near the town centre and ski lifts.

The Megeve ski area is huge and a well kept secret so few lift queues outside peak times. It has more than 400 km of piste with fabulous views of Mont Blanc and is one of the largest resorts in France, yet the ski pass costs at least 50 Euros less than other major ski resorts! Megeve is a very good option for ski weekends and short ski breaks because of its fantastic location just over an hour away from Geneva. We also have our own fleet of minibuses and are fully licensed for airport transfers.
