NEXT UP: Christmas Crafts - Thursday 19th December, 7pm for 7.30pm start
🎄

It’s our annual crafty meet-up, held at the Church Hall so we have loads of space. Note the address: Trinity Church Hall, 54 Cambridge St, Norwich NR2 2BB.

What’s involved?

As this is a social event rather than an official meeting, we will bring some games and some music, and there will be plenty of tables for crafting on, playing a game or simply having a natter and a catch up.

As it’s Christmas, there’s no bake rota - we will be providing tea, mulled wine, mince pies and crisps.

That said, if you’d like to bring any extra games, snacks or drinks, please do! And most importantly.... Bring whatever craft you’d like to work on! Some ideas

* please note this is a members only evening *

This weeks Meeting is back at our normal home Thursday 17th October 7-7:30pm start

We are in for a treat this week as we have some of our fabulous members speaking and we hope to make this a regular feature every year .
So our speakers will be Sophie Day who is a researcher by career, and has worked on lots of projects about people and climate change over the last 25 years. She has made the coastal erosion challenge her specialism.

And our second speaker is our very own committee member
Margaret - kitty Johnson who will be speaking about her life as a writer and the role her life has played in her writing.

So as not to disturb the flow, questions will be taken at the end, so hang onto those thoughts!

NEXT MEETING: Thursday 15 August @7:30pm at The Unthank

This month we will be welcoming Kit Adams, a Qigong teacher and practitioner, to our meeting. Qigong pronounced “chi gong”, most developed in China thousands of years ago as part of traditional Chinese medicine. It involves using exercises to optimise energy within the body mind and spirit with the goal of improving and maintaining health and well-being.
Kit will talk a little about what Qigong is and what is involved and then we are all invited to take part in a short taster session. The exercises can be undertaken standing or sitting according to your preference and she suggests loose, comfortable clothing.

This months meeting will be at The Warwick Arms 🦔

18th April Arrive for a 7:30 start
Julie from the hedgehog support charity Hodmedods will be talking to us about these cute, but sadly endangered creatures - their habits and characteristics and what we can all do to help them to thrive. There is likely to be some hedgehog merchandise available to buy at the end of the meeting, so do bring some cash/change along with you, if you think you might be tempted!

There will also be the opportunity to take part in a raffle at the meeting! Committee member Margaret will be raffling off a signed copy of her next novel PRICKLY COMPANY (published 28th May) - which features hedgehogs and a community working to save them - to raise money for Hodmedods. Tickets will be £1 each, so if you’d like to take part, once again, please bring some cash with you.
hodmedods.org.uk if you would like to have a look at the charity’s website, they also have a page.
