The newly assigned reference numbers are as follows:

The Orchard - UK46717.

At the time of writing, the cottages are not yet listed on the Website, but they should be soon.

Dear dog owners.
We have had complaints from our neighbours that some guests are not cleaning up after their dogs. There may not be any footways along our roads, but people still walk, rather than drive, around here and leaving your dog's doings outside someone's gate is not acceptable. Please pick up your dog's poo. Thank you.

Green Farm Holidays has changed.

Dear Guests.
As of tomorrow, 8th September 2022, our bin collection day is changing to Thursdays. This week they are collecting both black and green bins. Next week we return to single colour bins starting with green, alternating with the black.
Apologies for not updating our information sheet yet, I have to work out how to do that.

Dear Guests.
Please can you not put perfectly good food in the waste bins.
There are people in this area who would be grateful to receive it.
Any unopened (not frozen), in date, food can be left at Food Banks at local Supermarkets. Also, there is the Treehouse in Holt which runs a Community Fridge Monday to Friday, a project to reduce food wastage. The Salvation Army also runs a food bank in Briston.
Many of these places will be on your route home, so a convenient quick drop-off and would be very much appreciated.
We also have a bin that you can put bread in for our sheep. They do love a slice or a roll.
Please use the compost bins for out of date vegetables and fruit.

Doggy days out with Pupstar.
My recommendation for a pawsome time this weekend is a visit to Holt Country Park. After all the wind and rain we've had I think we need to get out and stretch those paws. There are 100 acres of mixed woodland to enjoy so that should tire you out! Tell your humans to bring some coins for the car park. Around this time each year our business Christmas cards would usually be winging their way to your letterbox. This year, regretfully, we have made the difficult decision to stop sending cards, not because of the cost but because we no longer receive address details from our agent.

🎟️Enjoy FREE travel on Norwich Park and Ride this Sunday 21st November.

🚍Travel from Norwich Airport and Thickthorn Park & Ride into the city (route 501) by bus and help ease congestion whilst Grapes Hill Roundabout is closed for resurfacing works.

Buses run every 20 mins from 08.40am, with the last departure at 5pm.

Buses from Thickthorn Park and Ride will terminate at Norwich Bus Station.

Buses from Norwich Airport will terminate at Tombland/Upper King Street. We are unable to operate our normal route through the city as Castle Meadow will also be closed for resurfacing works.

Sad times.

Norfolk wishes a fond farewell to the fantastic Wells Harbour Railway. A railway that proved its worth over decades, and that still provided a valued service to visitors and locals when forced to close.
Hopefully the line's stock will provide joy, and bring additional visitors and income, to the Lappa Valley Railway, in Cornwall for many years to come.

Running a business is really hard
What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid back people.
People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore. You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails.
Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there just is no work life balance when starting a new business. You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner..... All whilst being a husband or a wife, family support, friend...
There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5-10 years. It takes its toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially this past year. Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives. Be kind, be patient.

SORT YOUR RUBBISH! Or, take it home with you. You could also take it to Pretty Corner near Sheringham where there is a small RECYCLING Centre, see map below. They will expect you to sort it too.
It's not nice having to rummage through other people's rubbish in our bins. We are not here to sort it for you.
