🎄 Christmas Puddings 🎄

Our first batch of 50lb of homemade Christmas pudding is now made and maturing ready for our December dessert menu. This year we have gone with a boozy, festive flavour bomb of Guinness, Beavertown Gamma Ray, brandy and Norfolk Dark Spice Rum.

This will be available throughout December as part of our festive dessert line up (they will also be available boxed up for you to enjoy at home on Christmas day as a perfect little gift 😉)

We are looking for a chef to join our kitchen team at The Fox Steakhouse.

A great opportunity for the right person, commercial kitchen experience required and the ability to work at a good pace on own initiative and as part of a small team. The role would involve working directly alongside our head chef and CDP working the grill/stove/pass during service along with morning prep. Ultimately being able to lead the service on some shifts in our busy kitchen. A keen eye for presentation essential and the right person will be encouraged to contribute ideas. A great opportunity to join a friendly and dynamic team with a competitive rate of pay reflective of experience and training required along with an equal share of tips. Shifts will include evenings and weekends. Own transport and being relatively local essential due to our location just north of Norwich (some split shifts would be required).

Just a couple of historical pictures of The Fox.

We're not entirely sure how long the Fox Inn has been here, the earliest information we can find online dates back to when a travelling beggar by the name of Sarah Parr was said to have died of the plague here in the year 1717. The Fox no doubt being quite a bit older than that.

The last record of another Mr Smith being at the helm was in the year 1778

The stage coach featured was said to have been started in 1909 by Thomas Cook and ran past The Fox from Cromer to Norwich

Morgans brewery were the owners between the years 1896 and 1961 having acquired it along with a large part of the estate of Letheringsett Brewery in 1895

Just a little thankyou post for everyone who helped make last bank holiday Sundays 'Band and BBQ' event our best yet.

We were able to raise lots of money for the fabulous local charity Amber's Army (over £900) and the weather stayed dry this year.

Nightlife Band and Ben Westgarth were amazing and got the party going so big thanks to them along with Medler Haulage for providing us with a stage for the event.

The Fox team were brilliant as always and the BBQ put together by our kitchen team was top notch and well received.

Thankyou to all of the local businesses who donated to our raffle and of course, thankyou to all of our fabulous customers old and new who came along, showed their support and made it a brilliant day for all.

Looking forward to next year already.
