Sunday 9 July, from 11am

Everyone is invited to a BEACH PARTY to celebrate the installation of ’The Spirit of Hasbro’, Happisburgh's Time and Tide Bell. Help us welcome the Bell to our beach with music, art and dancing. The sculptor of the Bell, Marcus Vergette, and children’s author and poet Kevin Crossley-Holland will be there. There will be a bell inspired sandcastle competition with more entertainment to come! Make a day of it and bring a picnic, join in with the fun and create a bell inspired pennant, attach it to a stick to create a pop up installation!

Meet Fred, SHE(!) is our latest special guest at Albion Cottage and I just had to interview her. At 57 she has just put her wild early years behind her and is now enjoying a quite week in the country. As you can see she has kept her youthful figure which she atributes to a diet of stir fry vegetables and nectarines, which she adores. Her previous carer thought it was a bit forward to ask her about s*x so she spent the first 30 years of her life as male but after her current staff took her to the doctors she was found to be 'egg bound' - not something males suffer from! She is looking forward to a nap (which last from November to March) in her own fridge kept at a pleasant 6 degrees on a soft sandy bed after an exausting summer of traveling. It has been a pleasure getting to know her!
