Wooooo! I remembered Dog of the week, 💪! And how could I not when I saw this fantastic shot of Harry? Not only was he enjoying The Forge's garden, but he also was stylishly wearing one of our "I'm on holiday" dog tags! How adorable is he!

Everything is so well catered for and planned. So immaculate a comfortable. We had an amazing stay and have rebooked"
Eeeek - I forgot Dog of the Week too! I've been officially told off 😳 So 3 days later than planned. Here was last weeks, dogs of the week! Aptly named Team BAZAR, the fabulous setters are called; Billy, Alfie, Zozo, Argo, and Reno! Aren't they a handsome bunch! Looking very chilled on the sofa and rug whilst their owners were chilling out at the dining table!
First stop of the day after the kids clubs is and if you look closely, you can see the sticker in the door too 😀
Ooops! I was late again! Here's the tide times for the week ahead. Low tide starts off at 1pm today, getting slightly later as the week goes on. The perfect time would be to head to the beach about then. Try to avoid going at high tide as there will be very little beach.

Enjoying a last minute dinner set on the broads with beautiful surroundings, stunning food and the best part? Dog friendly in the bar and garden 🥰 well worth the visit.
**This or That Tuesday** Ok, so a pretty boring one, but a HUGE one between me, the kids and hubby! Do you like your cold drink WITH or WITHOUT ICE? For me and the kids, we neeeeeeed Ice! But Chris, can drink it straight out of the tap 🤢please tell me you aren't weird too!
Yesterday was just a little bit miserable weather wise!! Lots of rain and wind here...but today, is already looking much brighter! I should have tajen a before and after photo 😅🤣
Today, we tried something new. One of our guests booked 3 of our cottages and asked if we could move a table from one of the cottages, so they could enjoy all of their meals together. Well, we didn't do that😅 as we wanted them to still have the option to dine alone. What we did do instead was to bring in a table that was in storage, along with a few spare chairs to give them the space they were looking for. Is it perfect? No, but it works, and I am really pleased with it. It can easily seat 12 and possibly 14 if needed 🥰. Perfect for family get togethers.

The walk between Happisburgh and Cart Gap, is stunning and worth it⛱️ You can also stop at the RNLI Shop and grab a coffee & Ice Cream, or have lunch at Smallsticks Café before heading back to Happisburgh. We recommend visiting the beaches at least an hour after High tide, and remember to plan your journey back, at least an hour before High tide. Remember, if you see anything👀 or get into trouble at sea🌊, call📞999 and ask for the Coastguard.
**Review JUST IN** FAB WEEK AT OAK TREE COTTAGES "Another fab week. This was our third year staying at Oak Tree Cottages & we stayed in Church Fields Cottage again . Lauren & her family are always so welcoming & nothing is too much trouble. The cottage is so comfortable & well equipped, with the outside area & dog field make it the perfect place for families & their doggy companions. The cottage is perfectly situated within minutes to the beaches, wood walks & the broads. We will definitely be back again."
**This or That** You MAY need to bear with me on this one 😂. I am not quite sure I named the second photo right? For a circular walk, I mean a walk, where you start and end at the same place, BUT the whole walk itself is different. Whereas, a straight walk is like walking, turning around, and walking back the same way. Not quite the same as a Linear walk, where you start and end up in different places. So what do you prefer? For me, it has to be a Circular walk, otherwise I will either, never make it to the mid way point to turn back, or get side tracked and walk to far and can't make it back in time...so which one are you?
We are taking a much needed family break 🥰 don't worry, we haven't gone far (Milton Keynes Snozone) and will be back Tuesday evening. Mum and dad are holding down the fort at home. Having a blast
Is stand-up paddle board your thing? Would you give it a go? Or would you prefer to be on the side with your feet firmly on the ground? It's something I've always wanted to try but too scared too! Turns out Eloise is a natural 🙄 so fearless! I think I prefer the safety of a canoe 😅 we've hired a canoe a few times from at Coltishall! Well worth a visit to the after too!
What's better than staying in one of our luxury, truly dog welcoming cottages? Apart from the welcome pack, extra goodies, soft cotton linen, 700gsm thick fluffy towels, and our onsite dog paddock? I think it MAY just be how close we are to the two sandy dog friendly beaches ⛱️ less than 3 miles and less than a 7 minute drive away, what more could you need?
**DOG OF THE WEEK** Is the very Handsome Eddie! Eddie is a well seasoned Oak Tree Cottages guest with another holiday already booked with us next year! Not only is he handsome, but smart too😉

"Again, we had an excellent stay at Oak Tree Cottages. We stayed in Lighthouse Cottage this year - having stayed in Oak Tree 2 years ago which was excellent. Lighthouse did not disappoint. The cottage is spotless, comfortable and has everything you require. The provisions provided were a fantastic gesture and gave a good start to the week. The mattress on the bed was the most comfortable known to us compared to other lets we have stayed in. The weather started not so favourably but when you have somewhere like Lighthouse you can relax comfortably and chill. The weather was kind for the latter part of the week and there are many places to visit and the local beach is beautiful and very dog friendly which was great for our Cockerpoo. We would highly recommend Oak Tree Cottages and we are looking forward to going again soon, although it does get booked very quickly which is not surprising given the standard. Thanks to Oak Tree for everything and for the fantastic welcome"
**This or That** Ok! A bit of a boring one this week...let's talk bread? Are you a Wholemeal lover or a white loaf lover? Me? I LOVE sourdough OR seeded, but often eat white as the kids prefer it 😒 We provide a locally baked sourdough in the cottages but I am not sure if we should mix it up a bit? What are your thoughts?

**DOG OF THE WEEK** Milo managed to get his owners to take him on a last-minute trip in our lovely cottage The Forge last week. He had an amazing time, enjoyed our field, and visited Happisburgh Beach! It's safe to say he had a fab time and we enjoyed meeting him too 😀 isn't he handsome?

Eeek!! The Dog Friendly awards have opened again! How on Earth was it nearly a year ago that we won bronze in our category, and that was all down to you, our amazing guests! Thank you so much!

"Always clean and comfortable, our fifth stay, and haven't even got a dog. We will probably return next year. Although we have visited many times before we found many new places and things to do. Many new eating places in restaurants and pubs. We stayed in the Forge which has all the amenities under the sun including a stopper for half empty wine bottles."

They're so eager to get in the cottage that they often leave the key in the door until they've unloaded. (I mean, who isn't when exploring a new place) So I thought I'd do this handy video to show our horizontal insert keys. If you are struggling with the lock, turn it to the side and Voilà! **NEW TREATS** Ahhh, I did a voice over, please DO NOT listen to it! 🤣 I had about 50 takes and cannot stand my own voice, but apparently, it's all in, so I should do it 😒. Any who! We popped into our local farm shop yesterday @a.gmeale and stumbled across these dog treats. Made in the UK, marketed and distributed by a company in Thetford, Norfolk. So thought we would give them a go, and it is safe to say that she LOVES THEM! Normally, Arna spits the treats out the first time, pushes them around, and then lays down, and takes her time eating them, but these? They went down a treat! I can't believe it's been 5 years since we took the plunge and moved away from Sidcup, all the way to here in Norfolk!
