Beautifully clean cottage, gorgeous welcome pack for the dog with everything you could possibly need including a great dog tag saying, ' I'm on holiday' and great recommendations on things to do that are all dog friendly. This or That Tuesday - Firstly, how cute is the dog with the glasses? 😂Any who, on to this weeks top debate? Hoodies or Jumpers and I do mean for YOU, not the dogs😅 I have always preferred a hoodie, but I am slowly converting over to the jumper life! I think if the hood is a bit bulky, it really gets on my nerves. What do you think?

Oh no!! I've just remembered what's happening next week 😭 fire works are coming 💔 We are really fortunate with Arna, that she isn't scared of them, and that's pretty much because we don't hear them here. You may in the distance when sitting in the garden, but nothing like it was when we lived in London. Indoors? No problem at all! And yet we will have Church Fields empty from this Friday! Short breaks and reduced occupancy considered, just email me and see!

**HELP Question at the end** We have a new arrival in The Forge. I've been quite excited, mainly because it means I don't have to put the other one up anymore 🤣 but we have a shiny new stair gate ❤️ now I know many of you don't need it, so it folds flat against the wall, so you don't have to use it. But for those of you who need it or want to use it on occasion, it's there. It's really easy to use (1 handed) AND no trip hazards! NOW, the question is... Should we leave it shut for your arrival, or would you prefer it open? Mum thinks if we leave it shut, you will think the dogs can't go upstairs, which obviously is not true... so help!

For those of you who have been guessing which cottage I videoed on my stories today...its Church Fields Cottage. Sleeps 5+1 and 4 dogs stay free. It has a master king-sized bedroom with an ensuite shower room, a double bedroom, a single bed (with a trundle bed), and a family bathroom with over the bath shower. **Tide Times for the week ahead 🥰**

This week tide times start perfectly for those morning strolls on the beach, and by the end of the week, it seems great for a lunchtime walk, maybe to burn off all of those calories from a pub lunch 😂

At high tide there can be limited beach access so please do plan your times.

Well, it's a few days late, but we wanted to celebrate at the weekend with a Chinese takeaway! So here is to 6 years of living our wildest dream ❤️ 6 years since we took the step and moved from London to Norfolk. 6 years of learning how to navigate the world of holiday cottages, with a few mishaps here and there, a lot of lessons learned, but mostly a lot of love. 6 years later, and I still get teary when I read a review from you all 6 years later, and I still don't believe some of the kind words our amazing guests write. So here's to 6 years of Oak Tree Cottages. And a HUGE thank you to all of our amazing guests and followers, we would not have been able to do it without you! Everything was to a very high quality , attention to detail from dog toys to treats & We didn’t get forgotten either with lovely treats for us too . Did you know here at Oak Tree Cottages that we not only welcome dogs in the bedroom, but in the beds too? We just ask that you bring your own linen with you. This is mainly because of our white linen and I don't know what it is about dogs paws, but they can be a nightmare to get out.

Unfortunately, not all guests adhere to these rules, so we have a selection of bedsheets lying around with the odd mark on them, that we just cannot get out. So it had me thinking...If you wanted the dog in the bed, would you be happy with a slightly marked set, so you don't have to bring your own? Or would you be like me, and wouldn't be OK with it🤣 should I just stop hoarding and bin them off?

***THIS OR THAT*** Last week's this or that was about us, but this week's is all about your dogs! What do they prefer? Arna loves her harness, she won't go on a walk without it whereas my friend's dog, wouldn't even leave the house wearing one, I am talking full-on protest, won't budge a muscle, but as soon as you take it off and put her collar on, she would be out the door quicker than you could open it. What is your dog's preference? and does it match your's? 😂😂😂

This week the tides start off looking best for late afternoon or early evening walks. By the end of the week, you may fit in some early morning walks too! Remember to plan ahead as during high tide the beach access can be limited. But don't worry, there are still plenty of places to explore!

**Review JUST in** and my isn't it a corker!! I had trouble trying to choose the "Highlight" to add to the photo, as it is all so lovely ❤ It's from The Dog Friendly website:

"Attention to detail ie 4 dog tags with their contact details on 4 dog bowls blanket toys treats poo bags water bottle with drinking aid attached for walks spare collars dog crates dog shampoo warm water shower area for dogs fully enclosed area to exercise dogs with flickers balls drinking water bowls tug of war toys more poo bags and a lovely arbour for the humans to sit in and watch the evening sun go down absolutely bliss!

When you know they are thinking about keeping the dogs happy and content on holiday then the owners totally relax and enjoy their stay! It was also really nice to meet Lauren and Sandra and they made a fuss over our dogs who thoroughly enjoyed it.

As for us humans we were pleasantly surprised by the welcome pack of milk orange juice butter bread crumpets eggs bacon and tea coffee sugar and cleaning pods for dishwasher and washing machine. They also supplied good quality soap moisturiser shower gel from The Scottish Soap Company which after using for two weeks I went on line and ordered myself some. They had throws over the sofas which allows dogs to go on them if the owners wish taking away again any stress if your dog did get on the furniture.

What more can we say apart from we are so glad we found Oak Cottages because they definitely made our holiday complete and the boys too (aka Riley Murphy Bobby Bailey)"

So thought we would give them a go, and it is safe to say that she LOVES THEM!
