And with that, our yearly maintenance is complete!! We are all shattered, to say the least, but 2024 is now finally done, and we can start enjoying 2025. So what did we get done in those 3 weeks? ✔️ Gutter cleaning ✔️Jet washing - so much jet washing ✔️Repairs over the dog field ✔️Tree cutting and hedge trimming - so many trees 😅 ✔️Floor tile repairs inside the cottages ✔️Floor tile repairs in the gardens ✔️Deep cleaning, including washing the carpets, scubbing and resealling floors, cleaning oak beams, windows, etc ✔️New furniture ✔️Touching up the paintwork where needed ✔️Filling in holes in the walls ✔️Checking kitchen equipment and replacing damaged items, including baking trays, a new bread bin ✔️New rug in Lighthouse cottages ✔️New shower caddies ✔️New Wellie racks ✔️Various new lamp shades ✔️Repairing some furniture ✔️Repairing roof tiles ✔️Repairing ridge tiles ✔️New dog beds ✔️New door mats ✔️More hedge trimming - so many hedges 😭 ✔️Shredding the hedges into wood chippings around the grounds ✔️Buying new dog toys ✔️Buying new kitchen hand towels ✔️Woodwork repairs in one of the bathrooms ✔️Replacement taps ✔️Painting the exterior woodwork including gates And I am sure I've missed some bits too 🤣 but it's safe to say we are ready to sit down with a takeaway and chill🥰 #holidaylet #maintenance #timetorest #dogfriendly #dogfriendlycottages ##dogfriendlyholidays #oaktreecottages
