Book now to avoid missing out! Things are taking a chilling turn here at Lickpenny over Halloween, we have a pumpkin trail for our younger guests and a prize for the best decorated caravan. There are plenty of spooky Halloween events happening locally too, pumpkin picking at Matlock farm park or perhaps a ghost tour around Bolsover castle under the cloak of night.

The opening weekend of the Illuminations - cancelled on 10 & 11 September as a mark of respect to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II - will now take place this Saturday and Sunday, 17 & 18 September.

Online bookings for the weekend at www.derbyshiredales.gov.uk/illuminations have now reopened - and accompanied under 16s go free.

It's the first opportunity to see the 2022 parade of decorated boats - including a special tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II.
