East Midlands Equine Horse Transport

East Midlands Equine Horse Transport I have had an interest in horses and ponies since childhood and have worked with them most of my life.
(288)

At one point I was working for Fred, Mary and David Broom as a groom and my interest continued. I then started breaking and schooling and solving problems with other people’s horses. In 1993 I went to work for a dealer, breaking, schooling, competing etc, and in 1995 I started my company East Midlands Equine; in the first instance, initially as a horse transport company. I had seen for myself ove

r the years how the way in which horses were loaded and transported could be improved and this is what I set out to achieve. My ethos is that the horse always comes first. 5 years later My Company expanded to include the other side of my passion – schooling, breaking – and for 26 years my company has grown from strength to strength. I have some excellent staff that understands my way of looking after and working the horse, either on livery, in for behavioural problems, breaking, schooling or competing for owners.

Our move for yesterday from Wymeswold down to West Lavington Sussex
For this lady
Who I have had the pleasure of moving several times
A very loverly lady to travel
And as for loading
She insists on her way or no way,
Gone home for the final time
WE will miss moving her

My first move of the day, little cookie
Going from risley to pool house for his operation
I hope all goes well, little man. See you at the weekend

Our third move of the day this 17.3 very long coupled W/B going from stone in Staffordshire to Sutton coalfield area
Who had loading issues
Due to being put on a vehicle too small for him
We spent a bit of time regaining his confidence
And when we were happy with his self loading and turning on the lorry
We knew he was safe to move
Travelled loverly and came off the lorry brilliantly, and as you can see in the last picture, nice and cool in his new stable

Well, that certainly came as a shock! We are honoured to have won the award for the transporter of the year! We’d like to thank the judge of the section and everyone behind the scenes of the awards.

We couldn’t have done it without everyone who voted for us to be in the finalists, and a massive thank you to all of our clients over the years.

To the other finalists we’d like to say a massive well done to you all you were tough competition to be up against!

And finally, a thank you to Chris from Stealth Horse Transport, who messenged Bob to tell him he had won. He almost spat his tea out from the surprise

Congratulations to East Midlands Equine Horse Transport on becoming Horse Transporter of the Year 2024 sponsored by Bloomfields Horseboxes!
