Staff wanted for livery yard and riding school located in Ruddington.
About us.
We are a friendly, professional, family run yard. We have a mixture of our own horses, and liveries, with 17 horses in currently. We specialise in dressage, eventing and side saddle, offering private lessons on our own horses. The yard and paddocks are compact and pride ourselves on being neat and tidy.
We are looking for staff to assist Monday to Friday. But we are fairly flexible as we would also consider splitting shifts between suitable candidates.
It’s a lovely place to work, we have an indoor barn and sheltered stables and the yard is concreted. Our horses are all on rubber matting with either shavings or sawdust, making mucking out easy. We also have a quad to make mucking out the fields easier.
Duties would include mucking out, turning out and bringing in, changing rugs, filling water troughs and pooh picking fields etc. The owners will be working alongside you. Other duties may include feeding, filling haynets and preparing a horse for lessons.
What we are looking for:
Suitable candidates must be reliable and reasonably fit. We are close to the University and on a bus route, with a good size car park. A love of horses (and dogs as we have many!) is a must as well as a high level of attention to detail and tidiness.
Training will be available to the right candidate, experience is preferred but not essential. Our horses are well mannered and well behaved.
Hours can be negotiable and could be split between suitable candidates. Wages according to age and experience.
