Updated 31/01/24 The Tours are filling up now, and several trip dates fully confirmed
I tend to custom build my BIKE TOURS these days, and plan them according to customer demand. In conversations with the first people to book, we choose the most suitable dates, flights or ferry crossings. Most guests are now friends from previous trips. There's a fair chance you will know other people on the trip, if you've been before.
March / April 2024 - first trip to Nepal, again. the MANANG trip is unlikely to happen this year. Other things got in the way. Id like to go back there in 2025 however.
April 7th to 15th - Private tour to Morocco - now full. Was supposed to be a quiet little ride with 2 mates, but it turned into a monster. Word got out that I was organising this trip again and 2 people turned into 9! No more please!
April or May 2024 - IF WE CAN FIND A SUITABLE WEEKEND
my (in)famous "Best of Three" tour. Approx 500 miles riding in and around 3 UK National Parks, over 3 days, sometimes 4. Using twisty back roads mainly. Price depends on level of accommodation chosen. We normally use rooms in a fine Country Pub but camping is usually an option for those who enjoy this or want to save a couple of bob. Price - a couple of hundred quid, depending on level of rooms. No big hotels - remote pubs with good beer are the preferred deal.
Early June 2024. My annual trip to The French Alps, riding in France, Switzerland and Italy - sometimes all three in one day (Mont Blanc circuit).
Ferries not yet booked, but it looks like this year's tour will be 7th to 16th June - almost certainly these dates. Priced around £900. depending on accommodation choices.
We always go back to Bourg St Maurice and use this as a base. I'm hankering after going further South and using Vallouise as a base, but my regulars always seem happy to return to Bourg. Why not? It's pretty perfect for a biking holiday. Sunshine, high mountains, good food & drink, and affordable. What's not to like? 10 days, around £900. Use your own bikes, around 500cc upwards - able to handle some sections of motorway that we're obliged to use to get there in 2 days. Camping is always an option, as opposed to self-catering chalets.
June 20th to 7th July - ECUADOR. High Mountains (the Andes), Jungle / rainforest, and magnificent coastline. The whole country. NOTE - this is NOT my trip. It's not Bike Tours UK. My wife & I, plus two good friends are paying for this to join a French Company - VINTAGE RIDES. Deposits paid, and flights booked, it is happening. Friends / good Bike Tours people welcome to join us. It's 4500 Euros per rider, and about half that for pillions.
October 12th to 27th 2024 - the SECOND Nepal trip. It's ON. again. First six people confirmed, 2 places left. Flights have been booked. Something I tried to run in November last year, but a few people dropped out, and I just cannot run it at less than about 6 riders. This is a new itinerary out to the Everest Region of Eastern Nepal. This is a slightly more remote, less visited region, where tourism hasn't fully made its mark yet. It's a 14 day, 13 night trip now. We start in Kathmandu, ride north east to the Everest region , then loop South via the Chitwan lowlands again, looping back up North via Gorkha, famous for its brave soldiers. Full itinerary and pricing on request. Ticket price is £3740* GBP including almost everything apart from flights. Again, using rented Himalayans or Bullets.
*Important NOTE - very substantial discounts on this price is given to returning Bike Tours UK customers, or those with a discount code. Get in touch privately.

Sorry, sorry, sorry people. This page appears to be overtaken by scoundrels. The page you should really see is here. The Bike Tours UK GROUP page. If you’re not into bikes & travel, just don’t bother.

Just a reminder. This is not the main Bike Tours UK Facebook GROUP page. The place here seems to have a mind of its own.

Hello All,
Latest info on our trip to Nepal later in the year.
I am just setting up our next trip to Nepal, which will take place in November, flying out from the UK probably on 11th or 12th November. Allow about 15 days in total.
The next one is going to be the most adventurous yet (well, apart from a wild, unsupported one we did a few years back). We’ll be going up into Upper Mustang – an area seldom visited by outsiders. We;ll ride right up to the border with Tibet. Bear in mind there is a $500 Dollar permit fee to enter Upper Mustang, but this is included in the trip cost. This is a new destination for us in Nepal – I’ve not been there myself yet – although those who've been before will recognise some places along the way. We still go up the Kali Gandhaki valley to Kagbeni - but then it's new ground, and we've designed a different return route to KTM as well. Using Royal Enfield Himalayans - BECAUSE WE LIKE THEM! 🙂
With rising costs – fuel being one of them, I can no longer offer this trip at just under £2000 like I used to do. It now ranges between £2700 to £3300 per rider, depending on the final group size. I have around six people interested in the tour at present – which makes it viable. Maximum group size, 10 to 12 people. Need a minimum of 4.
Please read the attached itinerary, produced by my guys in Nepal. They are a great team, who have supported us on the last 7 trips. Look under "Files" if it doesn't appear under this text.
As long as I can get 4+ people to commit, I’ll go ahead and book flights, then it will definitely happen.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Provisional Tour Dates for 2022
As Covid still hasn’t gone away, take these first draft dates with a pinch of salt. If it CAN happen it will, but we don’t know for certain that travel restrictions won’t upset our plans again.

April 23rd to 7th May - NEPAL
Possible trip to Nepal. Maybe a little early in the year, but if I can get six to eight riders together it will happen. Possibility of exploring new ground, into Upper Mustang to Lo Mantang. Price guide £2000 / £2500
If the Nepal trip doesn’t happen here, it will be November 2022 instead.
In its place we can run one of the usual “Best of Three” trips over a long weekend. Or – this would be an ideal time to return to Morocco.
May 20th to 22nd BEST of THREE weekend
Long Weekend “Best of Three” trip. As usual, we explore three UK National Parks over three days, using the Yorkshire Dales or The Lake District as a base. Approx. 550 miles. Priced around £160-220.
June 10th to 19th - French Alps (1)
A little earlier than usual, but the roads will be quieter, and we’ll have nice long days. Dates dependent on group preference.
July 8th to 17th OR 15th to 24th French Alps (2) or French Alps 3)
I’ll only be running ONE French Alps tour, and the date will be confirmed once several tour guests have committed to one of the proposed dates. We ride in France, Italy and Switzerland and do all the spectacular mountain passes. 10 day trip, approx. 2250 miles. Price guide £800 to £1200.
November 2022 – ANYTIME – NEPAL
November is probably the safer bet for Nepal. Great weather, and we should know where we stand by then (Covid). I could even run TWO trips, back to back if there is sufficient demand, as long as I’m back before 27th November. Generally a 15 day trip, around 1200 miles, much of it on dirt / gravel roads, riding up to 3750 metres or higher. It’s what’s known as an “Adventure” trip. Full support team, 4x4 back-up vehicle and Mechanic included. For first timers, the standard trip from Kathmandu to Muktinath is more than enough. For those coming back a second or third time, I’ll extend the challenge and cover some new ground. Either to Manang again, or Lo Mantang or even into Tibet & Everest Basecamp – basically the trip we had planned and booked before Covid struck us down. Open to discussion. I’ve run about 10 trips there now, and I’m more than happy to repeat past itineraries or strike out for a new region.
