- The 5 bedroom Home Farm Barn

All of our rentals are available now for short term or holiday lets and have been loving built / restored and furnished using a careful curation of old and new. This is the culmination of several years of work!

So much care has gone into the detail in our beautiful holiday lets to make your stay truly luxurious. We've worked hard to source products from local businesses and producers where we can, to support the community surrounding the Estate.

All beds are by Hypnos Beds to ensure an incredible nights sleep.
tillynilly in Thame have provided bespoke curtains and blinds, with fabrics full of character in every room.

We've sourced other one-off items from the eclectic Fanny's Antiques and the The Cow Shed Collective in Wallingford, plus the stunning vase you see is by Kathryn Emily Croxson. These spaces are full of character and luxury!

Our brand new lets come online next week, bookable through Hostsmart & Nicholas Jones Residential

A great share from RJR Agricultural Contracting Ltd showing the team hard at work on the Estate harvesting our crops.

Harvest is a really busy time of year for farmers and our arable crops are now being cut and coming into the sheds. This is hard work with very long hours and those blue skies meant it was time to get the show on the road.

We are truly a working farm and with the self catering accommodation being available soon, our guests will be able to see the work that is involved first hand, throughout the year on the Estate.

Earlier in the week the Nuneham Estate team took great pleasure in planting this Prunus shirofugen in front of the Old Sawmill. We will now establish a grass and wildflower bank around the tree. Thanks to for this lovely cherry.

We chose to plant here to replace an old cherry that died and had to be removed for safety reasons.

At Nuneham we care hugely about our trees. They are an integral part of our landscape: dotted across our historic parkland, throughout our spinneys and woodland belts, alongside the river Thames. They provide so many nature and aesthetic benefits, and we love all the ancient oaks, London plane trees, towering sycamores - to name a few.

Here, we have planted a tree that will provide real aesthetic pleasure to those walking by - beautiful pink blossom in the spring, interesting bark, fruit for the birds, and growing into a lovely shape too.

A busy but satisfying day for the team.

This was found on the back of a skirting board in one of the estate cottages that we have refurbished.

Take a closer look? It dates back to 1913 and we think it says ‘it was raining’. No change there then of late!

As we go about refurbishing properties on the estate, whether they be long lets or self catering holiday buildings, we endeavour to retain as much of the old building structures and charm where we possibly can. In the case of the holiday lets, the old brickwork and beams.

Historically, circa the late 1750’s, early 1760’s the First Earl Harcourt designed and developed Nuneham House around its gardens and Nuneham Park which was enabled through his wealth and royal connections. This included demolishing and moving the entire village of Newnham Courtenay in 1760 and rehousing residents in a newly built village – now known as Nuneham Courtenay village.

The estate is steeped in history and it is important as custodians, that we do what we can to sensitively retain as much as we can when redeveloping and refurbishing.

Ewe Talk offer unique sheep walking experiences for individuals, families, or small groups, as well as corporate team-building activities.

These sessions are designed to connect participants with nature, enhance mental health, and foster teamwork.

Ewe Talk is an oasis of tranquility, bridging the corporate world with the peace of rural life.
