This family run self catering holiday cottage offers a great escape in a countryside setting with panoramic views surrounding you in the heart of Rutland. The cottage is situated on Stocken Hall Farm and is close to Oakham, Stamford and Grantham and just 90 minutes straight up the A1 from North London. The Cottage has lots of extra touches for the entire family which gives it that home from home f

eeling including a comfortable secure space for bringing the dog. This charming cottage sleeps up to six people in three lovely bedrooms and an airbed is available for an extra guest if needed. It has a large fenced garden, patio with charcoal barbecue, woodland walks nearby and plenty of free parking. Whether you're looking for a week away, or a relaxing short break Moo Cow Cottage is an ideal getaway for all seasons.

A lot of our guests love to visit Rutland Water so yesterday I took Dorothy Elliott and Rodney Elliott from Drumgoon Dairy in South Dakota along to see for themselves. We enjoyed a lovely walk and finished the walk with a sit down and cold drinks from the coffee shop on site, the weather was absolutely beautiful which is always a bonus.
This is a highly recommended place for guests to visit whilst staying at Moo Cow Cottage with it being just 15 mins away.

A lovely afternoon was spent today visiting Barnsdale Gardens in our lovely county of Rutland. Featuring 38 themed gardens, it was lovely to walk around and see all the beautiful features it had to offer. The added bonus was the beautiful weather and having the company of my lovely sister in law Dorothy Elliott to enjoy it with. I was even more amazed at how well she knows her plants. 😉

What a lovely bank holiday weekend. ☀️😎
The sun is shining and the birds are singing and we have some of the “Moo Cows” out in the fields. 🐄🐄🐄
Our family friendly cottage was looking forward to our arrivals yesterday with there young daughter, they have been here 3 times before but decided they’d stay a week this time to explore the lovely Rutland and surrounding areas.
I hope they enjoy there stay.

💚💚 NEW KITCHEN ALERT 💚💚 It’s been a while since I posted but we’ve been very busy. Moo Cow Cottage has had a brand new Kitchen renovation and is getting plenty of admirers from guests this season.😍 After Christmas we closed for 7 weeks, It resumed to open in February but it just got the finishing touches a few weeks ago. Our sons where a great help with gutting out the old kitchen to get ready for the trades men.
