We stumbled on Easdale island when we rented a cottage for a holiday in 1995 . After that the search was on to find one to buy . When no 5 came up we grabbed it and bought it from the legendary couple Jean Baker who created the island museum and her partner Bert Baker creator of the islands world stone skimming championships . Over the next ten years we spent all our free time on the island with our two children .
Now it’s time to share it with others , our kids having flown the nest . Retro quarrymans cottage was an original cottage used by the island quarry workers and we totally refurbished it in a vintage retro 60s style complete with authentic 60s hygena kitchen and many other genuine 60s collectibles and furniture. It has a private back garden looking out over the flooded quarries to the Firth of Lorn .
The cottage can be rented on Air bnb for short breaks or longer . Enjoy the uniqueness of Easdale island and the comfort and style of the cottage . It’s now been available for over a year and has regular 5 * reviews for comfort cleanliness and style .
