Amazing wildlife boat trips around Morvern and South East Mull.

Leaving from Lochaline harbour, we celebrate the best of the Sound of Mull with White-tailed eagles usually fishing off the boat.

Puffins! Did you know that we are offering trips to Lunga and Staffa from April this year? Yes, as soon as they arrive, we will be heading out to the Treshnish Isles a few times a week from Lochaline and Tobermory.

It’s been an amazing first year and a big thank you goes out to everyone we have taken out on our boats this year. We’ve had some incredible experiences and amazing adventures (bringing the new boat back from Orkney was one!), but one thing we have heard over and over again is ‘we didn’t realise you existed’. Add to this all of the new trips we have on offer for 2025 and we need some help to get the word out.

So we have a plan and need your help and in return we can offer you something special. A free trip for 2 on any available trip on either boat next year, a free night’s accommodation in Lochaline Hotel with a meal and a bottle of pop to go with it.

So what do you need to do? Well, it’s the usual like, comment, share job. Like this post, leave a comment below (ideally tag someone you know who might be interested in what we do) and share it for us. On 7th January we will use a random comment selector to choose a lucky winner and announce it on our facebook and Instagram feeds. Please share far and wide so that we can share the amazing wildlife of the West Coast with more people. If we get plenty of shares from this, we will look to do it again in a few weeks time :)

Your trip choice can be any on offer: White tailed eagles from Lochaline, Puffins and sea birds of Lunga from Lochaline/Tobermory, Snorkelling the Hebrides, Whales and Dolphins from Lochaline/Tobermory or more time specific trips like Shearwaters in September.

Another incredible trip on the Sound of Mull yesterday with 8 individual Eagles around including a youngster we hadn't seen before. Great to spend time in fabulous weather with some lovely guests too.

The Sound of Mull is a beautful place with the cliffs of Morvern and the mountains of Mull and then Glen Coe and the Nevis Range as a background. I do need to take and share some landscapes taken from the boat as well as eagles all the time! (and the seals too!!)

Answering a question we often get - yes, White tailed eagles do fly in the rain. It's been a wet week here on the West Coast, but eagles still have to eat. I love these shots of a rather soggy White tail! He normally has quite a light chest and head, but in the wet, he looks like a totally different bird.

White tailed sea eagle. We usually see quite a few white tailed eagles on our boat trips with birds often fishing off the boat. It's a great trip for photographers and nature lovers alike with lots of room on board for all guests
