slands, situated off the coast of Argyll 12 miles South of Oban. It is connected to the mainland by road across a beautiful old single-arched bridge dating from 1792, known as 'The Bridge over the Atlantic'. The island and the neighbouring islands of Easdale and Luing were at the centre of an important slate quarrying enterprise from the eighteenth century until the early twentieth century. They were known as the 'Islands That roofed The World', and many fascinating relics of these times can still be seen.

Jean & I were allowed out on the boat at the weekend which was fantastic and we checked in with all our wildlife pals! They are all doing great and waiting for us to bring guests to see them when we can! This little grey seal seemed especially happy to see us. Our caption is "Taxi for seal island!" Any others?

Dear all. As you would expect we are closed now for the foreseeable future. We have cancelled and refunded all bookings to the end of may. I hope that this will all end soon and that the measures in place save lives. That is the most important thing. When it is all over I hope you will all return to support the tourism industry in Scotland which has been decimated. Take care, be kind and wash your hands!!!
