Happy where here in we appear to be unintensionally tormenting woodpeckers at the feeder.

We will make sure we spill a little next time we refill.

We are thrilled to welcome two new land partners to the Loch Abar Mòr fold, committing a further 10,000 acres to nature restoration. 🎉

Both Glenuig Estate in the west of the region, and Drimnin Estate in Morvern, are committed to the Loch Abar Mòr vision of creating a rich mosaic of habitats alive with nature, in which people work and live with a sense of pride and belonging. 🌿🌊🗻

Drimnin - Barr (& back via Dorlin)

This 16 miles circular walk never disappoints. Yesterday's crisp start left a glistening frosting on the delicate gorse petals, and St Columba's stone far easier to spot than during the summer months. With glorious sunshine all day, seals basked and teal dabbled the shoreline of Loch Teacuis.

A wee bit of begging going on in the CalMac Ferries lochaline ferry queue this morning

Love it when you stay in and even on a daytrip out the wildlife litterally comes knocking at the window.

🌈Colours so intense and crisp🌈

Stunning sight, but pity the brief but decidely wintery shower couldn't have postponed for just 10 minutes until we had completed our jog along the road this morning😅

One wouldn't go quite as far as to say 'balmy', but was certainly feeling pretty 'pleasant' today.VisitScotland

A change is as good as a rest

So todays destination is Loch Arienas just 14 miles from

Starting with a fantastic lunch at The Hub Cafe in Lochaline (got to keep those energy levels up 😋). We headed for Loch Arienas, where the air was filled with the twittering of long-tailed t**s, the glass like surface of the loch was disturbed by rising fish and the only footprints on the beach were certainly not human.

in it's winter best

Today the snowdrops by House stole the show, the skeletal outline of the woodland trees against a beautiful blue sky came in a close second, and a wee diminutive orange fungus (type unknown?) wasn't far behind
