The Flood Defence Group is pleased to say that work preparations on Phase 2 Repair of Cullipool Shore Sea Defences are planned to begin tomorrow, Monday 26th August.

Sinclair Plant have been awarded the contract after a tender process, and you may see the machines arriving on Monday to set up.

The work area is from the start of the south end of the bay at the steps to the shore, all the way along the shore edge and on the beach. Work will also take place at the quarry, and we will restrict access for vehicles along the shore road beyond Scaraben during the working hours and while machinery is moving.

While the repair is underway, there will be warning signs restricting access to the shore and quarry track for everyone's safety, as there will be machines in operation. Anyone using the track does so at their own risk.

Please be cautious if walking past the worksite even when the machines are not in use and give a wide berth to machinery when working, as the driver may not be aware of your presence.

Work should take about four weeks and we will keep you updated as work progresses.
