Wow how exciting for Harris 🥰
We wish you all the very best 🥰
Long post about the future of the Temple. Many of you will already know about A.S Apothecary, it's been the main focus of my working life and since moving to Harris, we have been carefully growing the business and telling our story. We organically grow and sustainably wild harvest our plants to create really beautiful, targeted skincare, teas, tinctures, Wild Eve our non-alcoholic spirit and we roast speciality coffee. It is incredibly labour intensive, rewarding work. As part of that work, I have been using my Homeopathic and Herbal training to support women, particularly during the peri-menopause and the menopause. After a lot of thought, I've decided that I really need a clinic space where I can see clients more formally, as I did over many years before I moving to Harris. So, after 5 years of running the Temple as a cafe, I'm closing it and taking the time to strip back and refurbish the building and turn it into a really special therapeutic and treatment space. I think offering good support for women's health is so needed and I'm looking forward to working from there. Up until recently, there was so little other sitting-in hospitality provision for visitors in South Harris but with the redevelopment of the Hebrides People Visitor Centre in Northton and the Leverburgh options, I'm very happily returning to my therapeutic roots.
We'll also look forward to welcoming visitors to our workshop at the Apothecary in Leverburgh and you will still be able to buy and drink our speciality coffee and teas there plus visit our gorgeous shop.
I'd like to thank everyone who has visited the cafe over the years, we have so appreciated your custom and we are really excited to be developing the cafe into such a lovely therapeutic space.
