All the electrics have just had the once over and 94 downlighters, lamp units and bulbs, have been replaced. Out with the old 50w halogen units and in with new, low-wattage LED lights. The 94 downlighters were just in the house. It's the pool next.

We’re just a short taxi ride from Okehampton station. We’re looking forward to trying it out for ourselves.

We’ve a break in bookings - time to get some work done! The old and draughty lantern roof over the landing is being replaced, as is the smaller lantern roof over the bathroom of the master bedroom. Rotten fascias and soffits (and some rusty gutters and drainpipes) also being replaced. Taikoo is not far off her 100th birthday and she thoroughly deserves the attention.

It might be cold out there, but the lack of rain has led to the moors being extremely dry at the moment.

To prevent wildfires please:

🔥 Do not light BBQs or campfires
🚭 Do not drop ci******es, matches or lighters
🍾 Make sure no glass bottles are left on the ground
🚮 Take all litter home with you

📱 If you see anything suspicious please call the police on 101. In the event of an emergency, please report it quickly to the fire service on 999 with the location.

Wildfires are absolutely devastating for our communities, livestock and wildlife including moorland birds which are nesting on the ground.
