Proper Dartmoor Tours can be booked by email or by phone, subject to other bookings we operate seven days of the week. If you are staying locally we can pick you up for your tour and then at the end of the day drop you back, alternatively we have parking available if you are a little further afield. The tours normally start between 9:30 and 10:00 calling in at a Dartmoor pub for a bite of lunch an

d then if requested heading back via a cream tea stop to arrive back between 16:00 and 17:00, food and drinks are not included in any tour price. The tours can be tailored to suit the requirements of our Guests, however whether you choose a tailored package or just let Tich show you around some of the lesser known moor you will have a great day. There are sights to see, these may include hut circles, medieval field systems, parish churches, stone crosses, clapper bridges and of course Dartmoor tors. We use a luxury 7 seat Land Rover which means we can take you along main roads, small narrow moor lanes or even off-road! This is a quality tour of Dartmoor by someone who knows the moor, its history and a large number of the characters that live there. You will hear stories, anecdotes and tales you will not find in a guide book, you will benefit from Tich's personal experience of a lifetime spent on Dartmoor. We will usually stop quite regularly for you to take full advantage of the stunning scenery, wonderful village architecture or even visit a gift shop. There will be ample chance for you to take photos should you wish, to ensure you will always remember your Proper Dartmoor Tour!

On Friday we done a Deepest Devon tour. A 16th century cider press on Dartmoor, Grays farm cider, Lunch at the Beer Engine, an old corn mill and finally the mill below Fingle bridge.

We seemed to have missed the rain all day yesterday. We went to Weeke Down, Challacombe Valley, East Dart Hotel for the first refreshing drink, Burrator Inn which was delightful, on to the Drake Manor at Buckland Monachoram for lunch, up around Burrator reservoir and Sheepstor and then we made our way up to the Warren House inn via Sampford Spinney, back to Okehampton to drop the guests off at 6:30 pm.

Properdartmoorpubtour yesterday.
Picked my guests up from Ivybridge.
Headed up to Holne, Buckland in the moor then on to the Carpenters Arms for the first pint, Kestor Inn for a carvery, Bowermans nose, Bonehill and into Widdecombe, Old inn and Rugglestone then on to The Royal Oak at Meavy back through Cornwood and a short trip down to Ivybridge to return them home. Great day out.

A Properdartmoorpubtour with these lads who all went to school together,
A good time to catch up with each other. We visited The Two Bridges hotel, Drake manor for lunch, The Whody at Milton Combe then on down to Maristowe key and the Lopwell dam. Two swans swam up to us, they are quite social and probably looking for a snack. Stopped at the Warren House on the way back then calling into the Sandy Park before returning to Okehampton. A grand day out, l bet those boys slept well!

Great day out yesterday on the
Proper DartmoorTeignvalleypubtour.
First off, out past Chagford up to Jurston cattle grid for our first stop for sceanary looking back to Kestor rock
Cawsand beacon and all the farms.
Up on to the high moor, back to Mortonhampstead, down the Teign Valley to our lunch stop at the most excellent Manor inn at Lower Ashton.
On to the Cridford Inn, Teign house Inn, Bridford Inn and our last stop was The Old Thatch Cheriton Bishop.
A great time had by all.

Another Famous Properdartmoorpubtour.
East Dart , Two bridges, Drake Manor, The Who’d have thought it and Royal Oak , we made our way back across the moor to the Union Inn, then home to The Taw river.
After doing many of these tours there are now customer reviews as nobody can remember where they’ve been!
