Huge congratulations to who recently got engaged at Bettws Court Retreats. In Tara's review she said:

"The most incredible lodge, stunning views, and a very special place for myself and my other half. My, now, fiancé surprised me with a trip here and proposed to me. It could not have been more perfect. The views from within the lodge and the decking are amazing with little calves running and playing, which is just beautiful. I teared up when I walked in... and sobbed when he proposed. Will definitely be returning. It had everything we needed, an amazing spa bath, bbq, an insanely comfy bed and a basket of local goods which was such a nice addition."

One of the prettiest places to go for a drink and a bite to eat locally has to be Ye Old Ferrie Inn, in Symonds Yat.

Overlooking the river Wye and with plenty of outside tables, this beautiful dog-friendly pub is a favourite of ours. One of our favourite ways to spend a sunny summer's day in Herefordshire is to rent a canoe and spend a leisurely afternoon paddling down the river from Kerne Bridge to Symonds Yat complete with pub stops. You can't beat it!

The Hereford Public Art trail launched last month featuring 8 beautiful wall murals cited across the city centre. The commissions were awarded to internationally and nationally renowned artists, many are based in Herefordshire or the West Midlands region. The Hereford Public Art Trail is an easy 2-mile loop of Hereford which takes about 1 hour to complete at a moderate pace, so why not visit the city and view these murals simultaneously?
