Ormskirk Market will not run on Saturday, December 7 due to Storm Darragh.

IMPORTANT ORMSKIRK MARKET UPDATE

Due to Storm Darragh and very strong winds forecast for Saturday, December 7, we have taken the decision to cancel Ormskirk Market.

The Met Office has issued an AMBER weather warning for the north west, including West Lancashire, from 3am to 11pm on Saturday, December 7.

Please be aware winds could reach up to 60mph, tree fall and travel disruption is anticipated and there could also be localised power outage and flooding.

🚨 AMBER Weather Warning for Storm Darragh 🚨

The Met Office has issued an AMBER weather warning for the north west, including West Lancashire, from 3am to 11pm on Saturday, December 7.

There is also a new YELLOW weather warning for strong, gusty winds starting TODAY from 3pm until 3am on Friday (December 6).

What to Expect:
🌬️ Gusts of 70-80mph near coasts and headlands, with 60-70mph inland.
🌊 Very large waves along exposed coastal areas.
🌧️ Heavy, squally rain between 2pm-6pm, with showers continuing into the evening.
🌲 Falling trees, flying debris and potential power cuts likely.
