Our lovely gardener Les (not on Instagram to tag) bought me an early Christmas present last September, a massive bag of dahlia tubers! Which I'm now enjoying, we now have a large vegetable bed full of them 🤗 They are absolutely stunning, it's such a delight being able to pop a vase of them into the holiday cottages for our guests.

Time for a sit down, a coffee, and a little dip into the summer edition of , which dropped through my door yesterday. It was a pleasure to have met the editor Sophie a few weeks back when she came to photograph our holiday cottages and home for a feature in the magazine. I love Sophie's passion for sustainability and preloved, and she has the utmost dedication for helping small businesses in the UK - keep up the good work Sophie 🥰

One from the weekend with the kitchen in Little Underhill.
Both cottages can sleep up to 12, plus we have an over spill annex that can accommodate 2 more guests. Perfect if you're getting married at the lovely which is just a stone's throw from us here at Underhill.

Fresh flowers from the garden for our bank holiday guests arriving today.
It is such a pleasure to be able to cut flowers from the gardens again here at Underhill. I also loved doing them for the shoot this weekend for Sophie . Having Sophie here has inspired me in so many ways; digging out my dusty Nikon is one inspiration which I'm so looking forward to using again, watch this space 📸 I will also be posting some of the wonderful photos that Sophie took this weekend over the next few days.

Here at Underhill we're trying our best to be more eco conscious. Installation of our new solar panels. We're hoping that this will cover at least 70% of the electricity for the 3 properties. I can't wait for it to be up and running! In time the boilers will be replaced by air source heat pumps. Wild flowers have already been planted round the base of the panels, a few small native trees will also be planted. Fortunately it's not particularly visible from the main house.
