Ready for some long mountain lunches this ski season?

If you are in need of some inspiration, here are four of the Volare teams favourite mountain spots to spend some indulgent afternoons.

Chalet d’Adrien, Verbier. Verbier’s only Michelin-starred restaurant serving inventive Italian cuisine with an exquisite wine selection.

Le Cave des Creux, Courchevel. Originally an Alpine cheese ripening cellar and sheepfold, now a superb restaurant run by former ski instructors. The homemade dessert buffet is worth saving room for!

Chez Vrony, Zermatt. One of Zermatt’s many outstanding restaurants, enjoy the spectacular view of the Matterhorn on their rustic terrace. Locally sourced cuisine brings simplicity to the next level. Their cured meat is made onsite and a must try.

La Fruitière, Val d’Isère. As part of the Folie Douce it needs no introduction. But La Fruitière is less party atmosphere, more high end restaurant. Their cheese selection is a must as the restaurant models itself on a local dairy.
