Oxford Walking Tours have been operating from the blue gates of Trinity College on Broad St for 27 years. Our University educated guides come with years of experience and local knowledge of the City and University. We'll take you inside the colleges that make Oxford so unique, and as seen in Harry Potter and Inspector Morse. Tours last an hour and a half, starting every hour on the hour between 11am and 4pm, and cost £12.95 for adults, £11.95 for students/seniors, £5.95 for children under 16.

On Wednesday we asked who could identify this dapper gentleman! It's time to the !

This statue stands in the Bodleian Schools Quadrangle and shows William Herbert, 3rd Earl of Pembroke. Know for his torrid affairs and striking good looks, Herbert served as Chancellor of the University between 1624-1630, giving his name to Pembroke College.

He certainly knew how to strike a pose! 🕺🌟

This week we asked who knew where to find this plaque located in Oxford! ☄️🌟

The Answer: You can see it at 7 New College Lane, outside the house which served as his observatory.

Halley was appointed the Savilian Professor of Geometry in 1703, and was an accomplished astronomer, mathematician, physicist, and meteorologist. He is known today for his observation of Halley's comet, the first comet observed to have a recurring orbit.

Last week we asked who could guess the location of this funny green creature in ! Time for the big reveal!

You can find it decorating the main door of Brasenose College. It serves as a reference to the original brass door knocker that gave the College its name. The original was stolen many years ago and it took a long time to get it back. Today, it is kept safely inside the college dining hall (second picture).
