Last term, we were delighted to host Mathew Baynton in our chamber. Mathew Baynton is an English actor, comedian, musician, and writer. He has appeared in many classic TV programmes, from ‘Gavin and Stacey’ and ‘Peep Show’, to ‘Ghosts’ and ‘Horrible Histories’, famously portraying Charles II and Dick Turpin as part of the latter. Alongside his distinguished acting career, he has been nominated for several awards for his screenwriting, having contributed to ‘Horrible Histories’ and co-written ‘The Wrong Mans’ with James Corden. “Go forward and try to bring your vision into action and try to make it a reality.” Last term, we were delighted to host 2014 Nobel Peace Prize laureate and activist Malala Yousafzai in our chamber. Malala Yousafzai was born in Pakistan and commenced her activism incredibly young, beginning an anonymous blog about life under the Taliban when she was eleven. Following an assassination attempt in 2012, she moved to England and co-founded the Malala Fund, an organisation formed to champion female educational rights.
