We couldn't let International Women's Day go by without celebrating The One who left such a legacy. Padstonian born and bred; Gran & Great Gran to the current Leafy Hollow Team; Winnie designed the house herself and building was completed in 1958. Her original home is still much loved and only been enhanced by alterations to make the most of the view which Winnie loved, the loft, and outside areas. A strong and to some, a somewhat formidable women, she lived through 2 world wars, was widowed twice and lost twins at birth. She was a teacher at Padstow School and had the honour of opening the new school in 1988. Her only daughter Jennifer inherited Leafy Hollow in 1998 and Jennifer left Leafy Hollow to us, her children and grand children, in 2018. Our family home. And we thank you.
