We welcome new guests this week for a relaxing escape from their busy lives. Our money is on these chairs being very well occupied as they sit and admire the ever changing view while the rain falls outside. This has always been a favourite spot for all of the Leafy Hollow family, past and present. Binoculars are provided!! If you enjoy reading, our book case is stacked with books about Cornwall, and novels, and the hall cupboard is full of games to entertain.
Another lovely review for from our guests. We couldn't agree more - our cleaning team works very hard to make sure the property is presented to the highest standard and the view - well it's effortless!!!
The roses continue to bloom and the apples are beginning to ripen as we welcome back guests this week who seem to love Leafy Hollow almost as much as we do 🤗
Today is the last opportunity to see the wonderful exhibition in church of the quilts made by River Camel Quilters. The painstaking work is truly something to behold. All in aid of the RNLI and you have the chance to win a beauty in the raffle. The exhibit has a special spot on the churchwardens chest behind the pew where Jenny always sat. There's tea, coffee and cake and we had a lovely afternoon catching up with this group of very special ladies.

Padstow Museum is always worth a visit - full of interesting artefacts of days gone by. During the 70s Winnie used to do museum duty on a Thursday morning when it was above the institute. We spent many hours there fascinated by all the exhibits and reading the stories. My personal favourite as a child was a skull in a glass case!!

Part of this building now forms the Padstow Musuem which can be found at the south end of the harbour near the start of the Camel Trail. It is well worth visiting.

The garden is full of colour down by Jessie's Store. Once a play house for the youngest members of the Leafy Hollow Team, then the home of Jessie the , it now houses the barbeque accessories, cushions for the outdoor area and body boards to help you enjoy your stay. It's been newly cladded this season by maintenance and is looking very smart 👌.

Winnie's gooseberry patch had become very neglected over the years becoming covered in lichen and bearing very little fruit. She was a huge fan of lavender so back in 2020 we re-dug the bed, found the original border and replaced the gooseberry bushes with teeny tiny lavender plants. This year it's looking even more beautiful than ever - we think she would approve ❤️.
