Today sweet little Bella has taken up holiday residence at Lowen Cottage. She brought her mum and her human sister. First time staying in Padstow. I got quite a few kisses from the little girlie!

Look at gorgeous Shankly-fits the colour scheme of the terrace beautifully. Unusual name until you learn that his dad is from Liverpool! And he was very happy today as his club won. Great combination: Start of the holiday and a win!

Beautiful sunny day here in Padstow today so we went for a coffee/tea (and cake-admit it!) back to the Walled Garden at Prideaux Place. And my lovely other half bought me these amazing flowers. Learnt also that they intend to keep the garden open all year round. Lovely oasis to enjoy.

What an experience: We had the privilege of being invited on board the tall ship Jolie Brise tonight. She was taken into Padstow harbour yesterday by Harriet. What a skilled achievement! This ship won the first Fastnet Race ever and did it two more times afterwards. Beautiful ship and a lovely time in Padstow harbour tonight!

Livvy's first time in Padstow as well. Lovely girlie! She brought her family down here all the way from the Potteries. (Love watching the throw down that is filmed there.) Wishing them all a wonderful time!

Cara's first time in Padstow! Happy doggie! Her dad had anticipated heavy traffic but their drive was not too bad so they arrived when there was almost no rain and well after the downpour we had this morning. I am sure the three of them will enjoy Padstow and will also see sunshine during their week at Lowen Cottage.

Had our morning coffee in this little heaven away from the usual hustle and bustle of Padstow: The walled garden at Prideaux Place, steps up to it right opposite Joules (near the Spar Shop) on Duke Street, open usually 10am-4pm, Weds-Saturday. Lovely coffee, home made cakes and gorgeous bunches of garden flowers. Very doggie friendly as well! (Sorry just noticed a spelling mistake but cannot correct in the text: Haven, of course.)

It is Mabel's (a very sweet sausage dog/basset girlie) second visit to Lowen Cottage but her new Cocker sister's Clemmie's first time. And their mum and dad said that they have had horrible weather for quite some time. Well, they arrived on a beautiful day. Let's hope the weather is kind to them and that they and their four legged kids can enjoy many sunny beach walks.

Dear all, I just wanted to let you know that Lowen Cottage will be open for bookings for 2025 from 15 July onwards. We have instructed CH not to increase the prices for next year. I hope to be able to welcome many of you back at Lowen next year. All best wishes, Helga

Beautiful Calla Lilies at 27. Every year I forget we have them because the pot looks empty in the winter. Every year they surprise me-even more flowers this year than last.

Simba has been to Lowen before but it is little black Buzz's first time. Gorgeous boys! Let's hope that during their fortnight here they have some proper beach weather.

The early morning mist is gradually giving way to glorious sunshine. Our many times returning doggie guests Oscar and Cooper (and their mum and dad!) will have a sunny week in Padstow to look forward to.

Just visited little Molly, a many times returning doggie guest of ours and her mum showed me some pictures which they took on the beach. What a sweet, sweet little girlie!

It is! Also, I also found out that since last summer Padstow has a Multi Play Area at the Lawns Car Park (by the Social Club) with free Tennis Courts, Basketball and Football pitches. (This webpage All about Padstow is a very good source for everything that goes on in the town.)

Today Rosie joined the Lowen Cottage doggie club. We had a real job getting the sweet girlie to pose for the photo but a little biscuit did the trick in the end. Neither Rosie nor her mum have ever been to Padstow so I think they will all thoroughly enjoy themselves.
