The countdown is on for our final Day Courses of 2024!

Whether you're new to mountain biking or are looking to find extra speed and control on enduro trails, we've got a course for you.

TRAILCRAFT: Sat 19th Oct - Future proof your riding and understand the fundamental techniques behind all modern mountain biking. Based at the blues and reds at Glentress, this course will introduce you to body position and range of motion as well as breaking down line choice through more complex sections.

BIKE PARK ESSENTIALS: Sat 5th Oct - Take flight on jumps, pump berms and ride with more control and speed down flow trails. This course will take you to the Bike Park trails at Glentress and cover driving weight through turns and rollers to gain speed before taking a deep dive into jumping technique. Leave more confident than ever in the air and finding new lines through big berms.

FINDING FLOW: Sat 12th Oct - Demystify off-piste trails and find flow in places you hadn't before. Heading up Innerleithen, Finding Flow will get you spotting grip points and riding rough sections smoother than ever with more advanced line choice and trail neutralisation.

STEEP & TECHNICAL: Sun 13th Oct - Heading to the Golfie we'll take on trails that are, as the name implies, steep and technical. Understand advanced braking techniques and line choice as well as spotting areas to drive weight into the trail to then simplify slippy or technical sections.

We're excited to announce that our whole team here at Dirt School will be riding and coaching in the awesome Bluegrass Aura / Aura Core kneepads and a selection of their brilliant mtb gloves moving forwards.

Honestly, we didn't know a whole lot about Bluegrass until our shop team Tweed Valley Bikes discovered some pre-production pads at a trade show a while back and were instantly impressed by how good they looked. The real test is out on trail though, and it's safe to say these are 100% the best kneepads any of us have ever worn - we know that's a big statement.

Are you an aspiring young racer looking to up your game over the summer holidays? If you're between 13-17 years old, ride and race on technically demanding trails and want to learn how to improve as a racer, then read on!

Coached by Dirt School Head Coach, Andy Barlow and professional racer Mark Scott, you'll learn from the best on some of the most technical trails in the Tweed Valley.

Andy has been coaching for 17 years and in that time has helped a lot of professional racers reach their full potential in both technical ability and the mental side of racing. Mark Scott is an incredibly experienced racer, having spent more than 10 years on the EWS circuit he sees the trail in ways others can't and brings a wealth of experience. Together, Andy and Mark head up our BASE college course and use a lot of the same sessions on BASE Academy.

Learn how to pace a trail and build a racing gameplan, how to react to mistakes and retain your composure and understand what is meant by 'perceived exertion' and how it relates to your riding. All this and get in depth feedback on your riding and take your technical abilities up to the next level.
