Pembrokeshire often feels like the home of the standing stone. We’ve had some lovely day trips out to Pentre Ifan followed by lunch in either Fishguard or Newport …but then we’ve also enjoyed just walking from the cottage door our very own Devil’s Quoit, one of the three standing stones that make up the Dancing Stones of Stackpole!

Much of the Pembrokeshire Coast is designated dark sky sites! Broadhaven South car park is a 10 minute drive and gives views out to the Milky Way on a clear night! But you can also find a magnificent sky view a couple of minutes walk from the cottage down the hill at Caroline Grove ⭐️🪐

Yay! The Pembrokeshire Beach Food Company are reopening The Old Point House …it’s the first sign of spring! 🌷

Hey folks, excited to say we are re-opening this Saturday 15th of February!

This will be our 4th season at the Old Point House and it has been a journey! How we are still here, I have no idea? But I would like to say a huge thank you to you guys and all of your support.

We have some very exciting events lined up for 2025! From Barti BBQs, paella days, Cafe Del Mor, banquets, Pembs Potato Feast, live music, Pasta nights, camping and mini festivals.

January has been filled with fixing boilers, internet and cellars, throwing seaweed onto the garden, stripping out the polytunnel, days of digging up brambles and the odd bit of painting.

And there’s still a huge about of work to do.

We will be opening everyday from Saturday 15th of February to Sunday March 2nd.Bar 11am till 5pm and food 12-3pm, with evening service Saturday.

This is a lovely walk at any time of year … taking in the coastal path between Barafundle Bay and Broad Haven South Beach before returning to Stackpole Quay via Bosherston Lily Ponds. It’s a 8 kilometre circular route.

Anyone for a game of “spot the Choughs” ❤️ (there are 2 of them if that helps!!) These glorious red-billed corvids are now regular visitors to the Stackpole Estate and can be observed giving some remarkable aerial displays along the coastal path (as well as some ground foraging!)
