Stack Rocks (also known as Elegug Stacks or Guillemot Stacks) and the Green Bridge of Wales are a 15 minute drive from Leyland House. Both are off the coast of the Castlemartin Range where the military presence does remarkable work in preserving the landscape for wildlife. It’s a haven of bees, butterflies, flora and birds (we’ve sighted Peregrine Falcon and Hen Harriers there as well as Guillemots, Oyster Catchers, Choughs and Ringed Plover) ❤️

This little otter 🦦 was enjoying a banquet at the edge of Bosherston Lily Ponds! We watched him for a good half hour while he went off into the reeds and quickly returned to enjoy his feast at the edge of the bank!

The otters are often very active & visible in the winter months when it’s a little quieter around the estate and a little less leafy!

Bosherston Lily Ponds are approximately half a mile from #leylandhouse. There’s a lovely circular walk that takes in all their glories including this favourite spot of ours near to one arch bridge.
