‼️ Travel Update for 2025: New Visa Waiver Requirement for Europe‼️

It has been confirm that, starting next summer, British travelers heading to Europe will need to apply for a visa waiver under the new European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS).

The cost for this waiver will be €7 for individuals aged 18 to 70. Children and those over 70 can apply at no charge. Once approved, the visa waiver will be valid for three years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.

Travellers will be able to complete the application online or via a mobile app. While most applications will be approved within minutes, some cases may take up to 72 hours or, in rare situations, up to a month.

Applicants will need to provide details about their travel history and any criminal record as part of the process.

The ETIAS system is set to be implemented by mid-May 2025, following the introduction of the EU's automated Entry/Exit System (EES) on November 10, 2024.

The EES will require travelers with non-EU passports, including UK passport holders, to register their fingerprints and have their photo taken the first time they cross an EU border. This may lead to slightly longer processing times at airports and ports.

I recommend staying informed and planning ahead to ensure smooth travels in 2025.
