“We had a fantastic family holiday at the Causeway house. Weather was a little temperamental (very unheard of in the Lake District...) and with 3 children in young age, we found ourselves very lucky to be in such a cosy place. We enjoyed board games by the wood burner, cakes cooked in the aga oven as well as lovely walks right outside of the house. Nearby lake Ullswater offers numerous activities, including one of the oldest steam boat services. For those who want to venture further out, Patterdale is right in the middle of the Lake District and a great base for day trips. The host, Victoria, was very responsive and has produced one of the most informative and detailed house guide we’ve ever seen

Not the most aesthetic of pictures but we've installed a water tank to provide another 1100L of storage capacity from the mountain spring.
