Grey Crowned Crane
What a lovely surprise this morning to bump into this male Grey Crowned Crane, who was clearly not happy with our presence. Birding in Kenya never disappoints! 🇰🇪🤠🦜
Wide smiles 😁
The SMILES became even wider when Nitin and his family were treated to a lion kill, whilst out in the Masai Mara National Reserve! 🦁
'The Source of the Nile'!
We're here at 'The Source of the Nile' in Jinja, Uganda and we just couldn't help but make a cheeky video! This is where it all began - the cradle of civilization, the longest river in the world and also a home to an extraordinary amount of birdlife! As you can see, our lead guide Arshley is very excited to tell you all about it!

Unbelievable couple of days birding in Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate National Park. From boating next to hippos to cycling alongside giraffes and warthogs, it's been truly amazing. And, the best part is, that we managed to clock over 50 bird species in just the last day alone! Kenya holds 11% of the world's bird species so there's no wonder I'm so excited for you to see what I'm seeing. What's your favourite bird?
So, we had a go at asking some friends in Kenya what their favourite birds is. The outcome is great! We have such a deep connection with birds, and you definitely don't have to be a geek like us at SBC to appreciate them! So tell me, what's your favourite bird? #sustainablebirding #ecobirding #nature #ecotourism #kenya #africa #birding #birds #birdingtours #whatsyourfavouritebird
Nice bit of birding on the Nairobi River this afternoon. We were happily greeted with a Glossy Ibis and an African Black Duck just before my phone ran out of memory! 😕 #sustainablebirding #birding #nairobi #kenya #africa #birdingtours #ecobirding #ecotourism #africanbirding
