Hallin Fell is a fabulous first summit for younger fell walkers. Great views all the way round from the top. To the front are two stretches of the majestic Ullswater.
Martindale valley is to the rear, which is home to one of the largest red deer herds in England. For a real adventure arrive by bus or boat!

Very pleased to be able to share this illustration commission I have been working on for Ullswater Catchment Management CIC, the Environment Agency and Natural England showing off the valuable work these organisations are doing in the Ullswater Catchment balancing 'People, farming and wildlife'. There was lots of detail involved in this one which was a fun challenge ☺️

For those of you who haven't visited us for a while, you may not be aware that the plank walkway around the headland towards St Bega's Church has been replaced and is much more accessible now 😊

The old planks were rotten and made for a very sketchy walk at times 😂
That's when they weren't completely submerged through the winter anyway!
