11 years ago today we met this little fella on the farm. We did a double take as he’s the last think you would ever expect to find this far in land and he was still heading up the beck towards the radar station. Luckily the coastguard were very excited by this, they came from Barrow to help catch him and took him to walney island to be released. We decided to build an oak bridge up the woods named seal bridge to remember him.

We managed to avoid most of the snow over the last two days but the fells got a nice covering and look stunning. It’s a shame Bobster isn’t as white as the fells!! 🙄😂

We love it when the cows are all back outside and the farm gets a complete clean. We like to think our livestock is looked after to the best we can in every possible way. We certainly try our best and by ensuring everything is thoroughly cleaned each year it’s a good start.

As it’s half term we decided to have a day out today and we headed slightly south to Sizergh castle nr Kendal. We walked around the lovely estate paths, woodlands and nature reserve and then we headed to Arnside for little play on the beach. Perfect 👌🏻 ☀️ 🍦 😃

Down the woods tonight with Scout and spotted this little fella hiding in the Tree. We have lots of different owls here but don’t often see a baby one. He looks like a Tawny owl.

It’s lovely watching the cows and calves get turned out after the winter. It’s been a long stint inside for them but finally they have freedom in the fields.

6.30am walk down the woods. We spotted the heron and some deer today. If you’re lucky you might spy a red squirrel or a Little owl too.
