⚠️WARNING LONG POST⚠️
I would normally be posting about our Saturday event today, which was President’s Day, but I’m going to save it for tomorrow (hope you all don’t mind?) and usually I try and speak for the club, this post is from me.

Every year the President awards one, (sometimes 2) of the members, his President’s Trophy in recognition of their voluntary contribution and commitment to Perranporth Golf Club.
At the presentation today the Club President Mike Smith awarded the President’s Trophy this year to me.
(That’s me in the photo - I’m usually the one taking the photos of the trophy winners, not holding the trophy and it’s also a rare occasion to actually see me in a post, as I’m the one usually, convincing others to be the focus of a post).

But today I just wanted to say thank you, again to Mike for thinking of me and awarding me the President’s Trophy for 2022 and to the Captain & Vice Captain and all the members who said such lovely things to me today, Thank you so so much 🥰

I jointed Perranporth Golf Club working on Reception (temporarily, at the time) 5 years ago last weekend.
I had washed out orange hair back then, as I do today 🤦🏻‍♀️(it’s getting done again properly on Monday 💇🏻‍♀️).
I was quite worried that I wasn’t the type of person you would usually see in a golf club (the orange hair thing again 🤷🏻‍♀️), but I knew if I worked hard, I might have a chance of staying permanently 🤞🏼

I had never stepped foot into a golf club before and I knew nothing about golf (not much has change there, but I’m now quite good, at sounding like I know what I’m on about 🤔)
I’ve ALWAYS said that working at Perranporth Golf Club has been the best job I have ever had, and I truly mean that.

There are other hard working members of staff, past and present and I am going to share the President’s trophy with them because I am just one part of

But I’m so excited about having my name engraved on the trophy, becoming a part of the history of Perranporth Golf Club.
I wonder what will be said about me in 50 years time, when someone asks who was Miss E Williams on the Presidents Trophy? 🤔

The answer I’d like, would be, along the lines of…she was a “lady” that work on reception with orange hair and if you needed anything,
ANYTHING,!! she would always have it to hand, in the boot of her car 😜

Seriously from the bottom of my heart thank Mr President and thank you Perranporth Golf Club 🏌🏻‍♀️🏌🏼‍♂️⛳️ Emma 🧡
