e: [email protected] Abernethy is a quiet country village with a friendly welcoming pub. There is a local grocery store selling everything you will need without you having to venture to a supermarket or you can stroll along to Jamesfield, an organic farm shop. The village also has a tasty Café. There is a frequent

bus service to Perth going through the village of Bridge of Earn, both have great bars and restaurants. There are also buses that head along to Fife and pass through some great villages. A local taxi service is available too. The village has a great museum and the Round Tower is one of only two left in the whole of Scotland. You can get access by getting the key from the café.

Our nearest bar is 3 miles away, a well deserved drink after an hour's walk........or just jump the bus there n back 😉🍷🍺

While we don’t offer food at The Tay View Bar, we are more than happy to accommodate customers who wish to order in.

We are happy to supply plates, cutlery and napkins. And of course a drink to wash it down.

We can also reserve a table for you.

There is lots of local eateries that deliver to Newburgh. You can source these online or ask the bar staff for some recommendations.

Wee visit to Lindores Abbey Distillery with our guests. The distillery is only 3 miles away.

Although now best known as the Spiritual Home of Scotch Whisky, the history of Lindores Abbey itself dates back to 1191.

Our cottage is also a great base if you are using the distillery as a function space or your wedding.

If you are staying at the cottage, to avoid the hassle n costs to drive & park in Edinburgh you can get the bus to Edinburgh from Bridge of Earn, the next village 4 miles away. Plenty parking near the bus stop. Its also only £12 return.
