NOW HIRING - FULL TIME VEHICLE TECHNICIAN
Location: Woodston, Peterborough
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 depending on skills and experience
Working Hours: 8:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday, with overtime available
In addition to a highly competitive base salary we are also offering the successful candidate 20 days paid holiday (excluding bank holidays).
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our team. As a key member of our workshop, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles to the highest possible standards. The ideal candidate will have experience as a technician, good diagnostic skills and a strong focus on delivering exceptional service to our customers. They will be attentive, dedicated, and take pride in their work. We have a great working environment with a breakout area, free tea and coffee throughout the day, and friendly colleagues. Key Responsibilities:
* Carrying out routine servicing and vehicle maintenance tasks
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults on vehicles
* Using diagnostic equipment to assist in finding faults
* Providing clear, concise explanations or repair work to colleagues and customers
* Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and company standards
* Road testing vehicles and car collections/drop-offs
* Maintaining a clean, safe working environment
* Supporting the office manager during exceptionally busy periods, with administration duties (booking appointments, taking payment, or ordering parts).
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a vehicle technician (MOT experience beneficial but not essential)
* Full UK driving licence
* Relevant qualifications (level 3 or above)
* Strong attention to detail and diagnostic skills
* Ability to work diligently, efficiently and independently
* Exceptional communication and customer service skills
