Pevensey Retreat is our lovely holiday home - a brand new static caravan situated at Pevensey Bay Holiday Park on the South Coast. Pevensey Bay Holiday Park is in a much-lauded part of Sussex, very close to the popular seaside town of Eastbourne, the rolling hills of the South Downs, and bohemian Hastings. It's a place steeped in history with Pevensey Castle, Battle Abbey and Herstmonceux Science

Centre all a short drive (or bus ride) away. Our cosy but luxurious retreat has 2 bedrooms - 1 King sized double with en-suite bathroom a dressing table & ample storage, and a smaller twin room with a small wardrobe (this is more like the size you would expect in a caravan designed mostly for sleeping!). The main bathroom has a good sized shower, wash basin, heated towel rail and toilet and the en-suite is equipped with a toilet, wash basin, heated towel rail & bath with shower. The kitchen/dining area is equipped with a full size gas cooker & hob, a microwave, full size fridge freezer & all the other essentials that a kitchen needs. There is also a washing machine should you need to do any laundry during your stay (tumble dryers are available at the club house for a small charge should you need them!). The living area has 2 comfortable sofas (one of which is a sofa bed should you require it) and a gas fire which is perfect for chilly evenings in front of the tv. The 32in Smart TV has a DVD player and also access to Netflix, the superfast wi-fi is included throughout your stay. Outside we have a lovely secure enclosed decked area which is great for kids and small dogs, complete with table and chairs.....perfect for a glass of something chilled and dinner in the evening sunshine! We also have outside storage access should you need it for your beach gear. Up to 2 well behaved dogs can also accompany you - pre-booking is required. Pevensey Bay Holiday Park is perfect for a family holiday, a girly weekend or a relaxed break away for two. The site itself has a gym, an indoor swimming pool and a sauna during holiday season. Passes are available to purchase at the reception for the duration of your stay. There is a clubhouse with restaurant and entertainment including activities for the children and of course, it is a stone’s throw from the beach which although pebbly, when the tide is low there is a large stretch of sand with sandcastles to build and paddling or swimming in the shallow water.
**Please be advised that onsite facilities are only fully open during the holiday season and there may be restricted openings during the winter months**
Locally there are many activities including paddle boarding, kayaking, and other water-sports. You can walk across the beautiful countryside to the historic Pevensey Castle. You can also walk to Sovereign Harbour where at the waterfront there are a variety of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. There is a large Asda supermarket open until 10pm each night supplying everything you could need if you wish to self-cater. The holiday park is also on a bus route that can take you to The Sovereign Centre that has a large fun pool with wave machine and flumes or you can continue on into Eastbourne itself for shopping, the pier or a bus/train to get you to Brighton in approximately 30 minutes. Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters Country Park for walking and cycling is within easy reach. In the other direction is historic Hastings with a plethora of holiday activities and interesting places to visit including taking the lift up to the famous 1066 castle and caves.

**New for 2021 is the 9 hole golf course!!** (additional charges apply)
Set amongst the park's plush green countryside, the course is designed for serious and occasional golfers alike - with holes ranging from 110 yards right up to 350 yards!! We look forward to welcoming you and hope you enjoy your stay......

**Exciting News!!**

Apologies for being so quiet this Spring, we have been busy behind the scenes getting everything ready for the year!

We are really pleased to now have the lovely ladies at Coastaways looking after the Pevensey Retreat. This means that there are no more restrictions on arrival days (obviously subject to availability!) and you can view the live availability and book directly online through their website - link below!!
Because we have been busy sorting this out it also means that currently we have full availability for the summer, so if you still need to organise your breaks now is the time! 💗💗💗

What a gorgeous day!! Just taking 5 minutes to breathe in the sea air whilst we get everything clean and tidy for our next set of guests!🌞⛱

What a beautiful Spring Day here in Pevensey Bay! 😎
We are busy getting everything checked and cleaned ready for our first set of guests for the year who are arriving soon!

Bookings are also starting to roll in for the holiday season now, it's lovely to have so many repeat customers wanting to come back🥰
We still have some availability for all of the school holidays, but it's getting busier, so if you want to spend some time with us this year please don't leave it too long to book!

🎅🎄Christmas has arrived at Pevensey!! 🎄🎅

Apologies for being a little quiet of late - we've had a lot to contend with in our new home, so the holiday home has been having a bit of a holiday itself!

Luckily for us our lovely friend Georgia and her family wanted to spend her Birthday weekend in her new favourite place, so I asked her if she would be able to take care of decorating the tree for us. I hope you will all agree that she has done a fantastic job! 🎄😍

Now we have some festive decorations up, it would be a shame to waste them, so if anyone is looking for a last minute pre-Christmas theatre or shopping break in Eastbourne, or just some chill time before the madness, please drop us a message for availability. Prices start from £50pn.

Turnaround day wasn’t quite so busy this week, so we managed to sneak in a little lunch visit to The Royal Oak & Castle Inn! All in the name of market research for our lovely guests obviously 🙄😂
We’d heard a rumour it was a good place for food….

Apologies because I had started to stuff myself and then thought maybe I should take a photo and as you can tell by hubbies plate in the background, he certainly wasn’t waiting for me to photograph his Sausage & caramelised onion roll 🤣
But it was so yummy and very reasonably priced, the main reason for my excitement though was that my lovely seeded roll was gluten free!! We were so full afterwards we didn’t actually need tea 🙈

It’s right next to the castle in Pevensey so a perfect stop off on a walk from the holiday park, plus dogs are also welcome (as well as the kids!).

Definitely one we will be heading back to soon ❤️

My daughters favourite part of linen change days - pool time while the dryer does it’s thing 😃❤️⛱
It’s a little bit chilly for the sea today apparently, but there’s lots of fun to be had in the pool (or by it with a book in my case!). Perfect for my little mermaid who’s slightly gutted that she missed the Disney show here last night 🧜‍♀️ 💞

Wowsers! It's been a busy week here and we are now pretty much fully booked for the summer and excited to welcome lots of you to our lovely holiday home!

We also have a 3 night break available from Monday 13th September and then we are fully booked until the end of September!

🎶oh I do like to be beside the seaside 🎶😎🌞

We are loving this amazing weather and it’s so nice to be able to walk out onto the beach at Pevensey to have a refreshing dip in the sea to cool off!!

Thanks to everyone for your support - we are now almost fully booked for June & July so get your requests in quickly if you’d like to visit!!
August is starting to get busy but we haven’t really had a chance to advertise it anywhere yet so if you’d like to take advantage of this please drop us a message for prices and available dates 😊

Whilst everyone else is planning their summer holidays we are busy sorting and packing ready to move house in a few weeks 😅. Maybe we’ll take advantage of the August spaces ourselves for a bit of post moving r & r 🤣

Thank you for all of the likes and support so far, we really didn't expect to have so much interest! We are just tweaking our pricing and organising our test run stay to make sure we haven't forgotten anything important!! We hope to be ready to take bookings very shortly.

For this year we will be taking bookings on the following basis to stay in line with the holiday park change over days of Mondays and Fridays.
3 night weekend breaks from £240
4 night mid-week stays from £320
7+ night breaks from £560
Once we find our feet (and have completed our own house move) we may change this to a minimum 2 night stay, so please feel free to drop us a message to see if we can accommodate your requests if they are different to the options above!
