We are thrilled and very proud to have been recently presented with a Visit England ROSE Award for 2024.

The ROSE Award is given to 100 accommodation providers across England and acknowledges establishments whose management and employees provide the best service, a warm welcome and outstanding experiences for their customers.

Kathrine travelled to Newbury to accept the award on behalf of the Kitching family who started the business 45 years ago. We are hugely thankful to our team, from housekeepers to gardeners, who love and care for the cottages with outstanding attention to detail, ensuring our guests have an excellent and memorable experience at Hungate.

Are you thinking of a North Yorkshire holiday this August with friends? Even better if you each have your own space!

Farndale (sleeps 5) and Rosedale (sleeps 6) are situated side by side with an interconnecting door. Rosedale has a large enough dining area to accommodate everyone. A shared children's play area on site, parking for up to 4 cars in our main car park. Set in a peaceful courtyard yet walking distance to the market town of Pickering for shops, restaurants and direct access to heritage steam trains and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

For now both cottages are still available for 7 nights from August 17th.

A comfy master bedroom features Neptune furniture and an ensuite shower room.
