Happy New Year 😊. A long walk in the woods this morning yielded an unexpected bonus find for Maya 🐾 at the end of the walk. 😊. The colours and textures of a mixed woodland like this are simply stunning.

Well worth staying up late and checking outside for an amazing night sky like this! ❤️. What a night, a chill in the air now for sure but very clear skies and such a special treat to see the aurora and the stars.

What a feast of rowans await the fieldfares and redwings when they arrive here from Scandinavia and Iceland soon 🙂. The amazing amount of blossom in early June has led to such a heavy crop of berries that some branches are almost breaking under the weight.
