Here’s a charming postcard of Kinloch Rannoch from the 1950s. This view is from the Sleeping Giant, a distinctive hill formation nearby. It’s Friday the 13th! 😨 If you’re worried about bad luck, keep an eye out for white heather, a symbol of good fortune steeped in Scottish folklore. 🌿 According to legend, Malvina, the daughter of the legendary warrior-poet Ossian, wept for her betrothed, who was slain in battle. Her tears turned purple heather white, and she wished good fortune upon those who found it. So, on your next walk around Rannoch, keep an eye out. You might just stumble upon a little extra luck! ✨
