Fire doors...we know our stuff!

Choosing the right fire door to meet your needs is important but so is how it is installed. If your fire doors are not properly installed, their fire resistance capabilities can be seriously compromised.

Here at WGP Maintenance we are Exova BM TRADA Q-Mark fire door installation and maintenance certified. Being certified to the Exova BM TRADA Q-Mark fire door maintenance scheme demonstrates that we are suitably qualified to carry out maintenance work to a standard that will allow the door to continue to perform as required.

Don't forget we specialise in Fire Door Installation and Maintenance.....

WGP Maintenance Ltd specialises in fire door installation and maintenance for all types of fire doors and has been certified for both under the Q-Mark scheme, operated by BM TRADA, one of the UK’s foremost certification bodies with over 35 years’ experience and accredited by UKAS since 1991.

WGP Maintenance Ltd understands that when procuring complex products such as fire doors or high performance windows and door sets, where performance is critical, our clients need to feel confident that the product will perform to the standards they require.

BM TRADA Q-Mark is the third party process of certifying that a manufacturer/installer has undergone an appropriate appraisal to confirm their compliance with the performance aspects of a specification for a particular product. Third party certification is being increasingly specified by architects, contractors, local authorities and facilities managers, is a mandatory requirement for Secured by Design and it is also a preferred route for demonstrating performance of fire doors under Approved Document B of the Building Regulations.

Today we held our Christmas jumper day in aid of save the children. As you can see we all go BIG here at WGP Maintenance.

The award for best dressed went to our Company Director, Chris Foster, who pulled out all the stops (and an elf!)

Our Business Development Manager generously donated his (or should I say his wife's) winnings from our office sweepstake back to the charity, giving us a whooping total of £51.00 raised for save the children.

A massive thank you to everyone who took part, and a HUGE WELL DONE to our office staff who I'm sure you will agree look fab!

Our South West Region Operations Manager, Paul Vickers, has been excited about this for weeks!

WGP Maintenance Ltd Christmas Newsletter 2017

As another year draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their continued support.

We’d like to update you on what has been another great year for WGP Maintenance Ltd. This year we have welcomed Kelly Cook and Caroline Brown to our expanded admin team. Charlene is currently on maternity leave and enjoying spending time with the latest addition to her family, Luca. We look forward to welcoming her back next April.

We also welcomed Paul Vickers as our South West Region Operations Manager. Paul is full of enthusiasm and is looking forward to managing your projects in the South West.

It’s been another busy year which has seen the WGP Maintenance team involved in several large projects but, once again, we have found the time for some fundraising. September saw us hold a charity golf day in aid of Children’s Hospice South West and whilst everyone was left wet and windswept, a great day was had by all. We would like to say a massive thank you to those who took part and donated and we look forward to seeing you all at the next one.

In November, our lovely Caroline became “Brew Master” for the day in aid of Children in Need where our managers had to pay for the privilege of tea and several visitors to the office were robbed of their change in true Robin Hood style for another worthy cause.

This month we have Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day, with a prize for the best/worst dressed. I am sure the pictures will make for entertaining viewing (we are expecting Glynn to go big!). Keep an eye out for updates on our website & Facebook.

2018 is already shaping up to be another busy year with lots of exciting projects in the pipeline. WGP Maintenance Ltd is continuing to grow and expand its client base but, as always, we are keen to offer our clients the highest levels of service. We are committing ourselves to a service delivery improvement programme which is set to begin in earnest in the New Year and we will no doubt be seeking feedback from our clients on ways we can improve even further.

We will be closed for the festive period from Friday 22nd December 2017 with normal business resuming on Tuesday 2nd January 2018.

We’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year from all the team here at WGP Maintenance Ltd.

We are getting festive here in the WGP Maintenance office.

We have signed up to take part in Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day. As part of our fundraising efforts we are running an office sweepstake to find out what makes our Glynn an elfy scrooge grinch (the list is endless!). We will be revealing the answer on the 14th December.

If you would like to make a donation to a great cause and support us in our fundraising please text TEAMWGP1 to 70050 to donate £5 to save the children.

Tomorrow is Children in need and our lovely Caroline has been appointed "Brew Master", meaning our lovely managers have to pay for the privilege of tea. Lee Foster has taken it as a personal challenge to get to 60 brews all by himself! Time to top up on tea bags and milk.

Ethans family, along with thousands of other families with children suffering life limiting illness, were supported throughout by Childrens Hospice South West, particularly Little Bridge House in Barnstaple.
Childrens Hospice South West provides care for children with life-limiting conditions and their whole family across the South West building precious memories for families whose children are living with life threatening conditions.

As we are fast approaching the end of the year bringing with it the joy of Christmas and New Year it seems like a perfect opportunity to reflect upon 2015 and the many developments and achievements that have taken place.
This year we have welcomed two new members to our dedicated team, namely Lee Foster who has joined us as our new Operations Manager and Louise Pepper who is our newest member in the Admin department. Also, as part of our continued growth and to complement our Head Office base in Plymouth, we have acquired a second premises in Newbury allowing us to better serve the needs of our clients outside of the South West.
2015 also saw the launch of our website and the new WGP Maintenance Ltd company branding which we are sure you have by now become familiar with. Our branding represents the values and vision for our business and will, it is hoped, become recognisable as the personality of WGP.
Over the course of the year we have been busier than ever and have undertaken several major projects for our clients. In the New Year we will be uploading project photographs to our website for your perusal.
We have still been able to squeeze in some fun and fundraising. With members of our team taking part in the Plymouth Half Marathon in May and the Tour de Moor in October raising funds for St. Luke’s Hospice.
We also continue to sponsor YMCA All Saints U14’s football team who wore the WGP Maintenance Ltd logo proudly when they won both the Plymouth U14’s DJM League and the Plymouth DJM League U14’s League Cup. Despite narrowly missing out on a place in the Devon Cup finals losing 2-1 in the semi-finals all at WGP remain extremely proud of these young men and their enthusiasm and perseverance.
As we look forward to 2016 Glynn Eveleigh will be taking on a new role as Business Development Manager and will therefore be dealing with your requirements and needs from the outset.
All at WGP Maintenance Ltd are committed to growing and expanding the business to its full potential and maintaining our quality of service to you.
This is a wonderful time for us to remember the friends and customers who help our business and make our jobs a pleasure all year long. Our business would not be possible without your continued support.
So we’d like to extend our gratitude and send our best wishes of the season to you and your families. May your New Year be filled with success and happiness.

We are delighted to have received this wonderful feedback from Sister Claire Heller Outpatient Manager at West Berkshire Community Hospital.

"I am writing to express how impressed I am with the work that took place to reallocate Interview Room 2 to clinical use. The room itself has been completed to a very high standard and during the works the WGP staff conducted themselves in an exemplary manner, being mindful to keep the surrounding corridor area tidy and noise to a minimum. Please can you pass on our compliments to Chris and the WGP team, thank you.

We look forward to completing the installation of clinical equipment in Interview Room 2 within the next 2 weeks so that we can start using this fantastic new space!

Kind regards
Claire
