Here is the last Wembury Wildlife Sightings Board for 2024 and also the first for 2025. A lot of interesting additions considering the time of year. I love the list of flowers that were blooming, the water scorpion was a real treat (worth a quick google) and I’m always over the moon with a Fire Crest. A great December/January board!

Follow these easy steps to take part:

📱 Register your interest to get your hands on the Big Garden Birdwatch pack.

🏡 Pick a spot, whether that’s in a garden or local park. Will you be doing it with friends, family or on your own?

🌳 Choose an hour between 24 – 26 January 2025 to sit and watch. Only count the birds that land, not those flying over. Tell us the highest number of each bird species you see at any one time – not the total you see in the hour.

Finally, submit your results to the RSPB! It's really that simple but it helps us and our feathered garden friends so much.
