We love the beautiful panelling going up the stairs which was there when we bought the house..

To continue the theme we added wide groove Georgian panelling from to the hall, living room and new stairwell downstairs.

The result was great and gave the rooms masses of character and style.. gotta love panelling!! In the bathrooms we added a bit of colour to contrast with the upper walls 💙

The stair runner in the last pic is from - fitting it round the corner was a painstaking job but worth it!

It’s a harbour view of St Ives but reminds us of the boats moored in the beautiful Fowey estuary.

It brings the whole room to life and we simply love it!!

We wanted to make the living room bright but cosy at the same time..

The beamed ceilings, wood burning stove, and wall lamps give it a warm, inviting feel for a winters evening 🔥❄️

For a light airy feel we added colourful furnishings from and and a large internal window to flood the room with daylight ☀️ 💛

The framed telly can be cleverly camouflaged as a painting to complete the look! We currently have a rather beautiful Mary Fedden painting on display.. 🖼️

We chose a very light dusty pink paint ‘Pink 02’ from Lick for our walls.

It is such a versatile colour which changes with the lighting but is always warm and inviting.. a great contrast to the amazing blues and greens of the sea seen through the windows 🌊

Polruan has the feel of an island as it’s surrounded by water on three sides.. 🏝️

The walk along the south west coast path to Lantic Bay is incredible, and ideally followed by an excellent lunch at the Lugger Inn on Polruan Quay.

It’s just a quick ferry ride across the estuary to Fowey for more amazing restaurants, shops, galleries etc.. ⛴️
