Carn Llechart Pontardawes own 'stone henge' stone circle ring cairn. This picture is taken on the summer solstice when people walk up to see the sun set. This neolithic or early bronze age, religious site is found atop one of the valleys surrounding hills, not far out of the town. It is a beautiful walk if you want remote, empty uninterrupted 360 horizon and a feeling of space and middle of nowhere.
