In the dramatic heart of Wales there is Carreg Cennen Catsle with a fun story . Gwylim Morris, a Welsh farmer. in the 1960s decided to buy the fields that he’d been renting, but a mix-up with the deeds meant that the parcel of land he bought included Carreg Cennen, a staggeringly dramatic hilltop castle. Cwm Idwal s an incredible place .It is here where Darwin identified the remains of an icefall overlooking Nant Ffrancon near Llyn Ogwen. He described two boulders in particular which are now known as Darwin’s boulders. It was an
amazing feelibg to stand where he once stood. Cwm Idwal
is an ideal place to learn about geology , and fanous for rare plants.
